I beat the game too late so I missed all the threads. It's pretty good but feels like it collapses under its own weight of how much shit there is in the game.

I ran out of steam with only a few endings left. It’s definitely supposed to be a game you chip away at randomly over a long period of time.

no. it's bad. the story is absurd, tries too hard to subvert expectations trough le epic plotwist but instead it makes you wonder why characters didn't try doing X earlier, making you frustrated. The only thing to like is the character tropes, it's like a danganronpa fan game that only focuses on character ship wankery while completely neglecting the mystery and sotrytelling quality. on top of all of that it's also absurdly long, by the time you realize is trash, you already have at least 20 hours in.

I finished it yesterday. I loved almost everything, it has some really stellar highs and only a few routes I really did not give a fuck about like Box of Blessings, but it REALLY didn't land the ending. There is so much shit that's unresolved, so many questions left unanswered, so much setup with never any payoff, it's unreal. I understand they probably didn't expect most people to finish all endings and didn't want to invest too much into a true route/ act 3 sorta deal when only a handful autists would get there, but the game just ending after S.F. with so many loose threads is fucking criminal.
I played the game completely blind, didn't even look at pre-release interviews and what not, and I was 300% sure I'd unlock a true end route that ties everything together after getting everyone's bond maxed, but then the final achievement popped and I was left incredibly deflated.

Why else would there be shit like SF randomly dropping in that mysterious "woman wearing a white labcoat" that gives Hiruko a program that lets her upgrade the Alien Fax Machine 2.0 to allow travel back and forward through time when it never even fucking gets used?

I was so sure that the big twist would be that Futurum is actually just distant future Earth and the "Cursed Cycle" isn't a timeloop but rather the same events repeating over and over again with humanity taking over the Earth, prospering, eventually fucking Earth up leading to World Death, waiting on the satellite until Earth repaired itself during which the Futurans are born, and then taking it over again. I mean come on, they are even called fucking Futurans as in Future....

Gaku's ONE redeeming moment in the entire game is not buying into the retarded "Takumi is a traitor because of the Fake Invader Tattoo" bullshit during the... Coming of Age...? route.
Fucking EVERYONE, even Hiruko, instantly gangs up on Takumi for it. Except Gaku, Gaku keeps his cool and tells them it's fucking retarded to doubt Takumi for a fucking fake tattoo when he's already killed half a dozen commanders and continuously proved to only have their best interest at heart for 60+ days now.
It's actually hilarious how completely out of character he is there, all the smart characters buy into the bullshit while he's the only one that acts logical.

If you talk to Eva during the Free Time segments she sometimes talks about how she is "tending to the boy during the night but they specifically commanded her to never say their name" or some shit like that. They make it very clear at the very least one of the guys is sexually harassing her on a few of the routes.
