Thing is, I'd rather diversify my investments to have multiple viable DPS characters, both from the perspective of having options incase I get bored or want to rotate to something different to not get bored, and to have multiple viable teams in the tower. Looking at the weapon comparisons for all 3 weapons, the rectifier would give the biggest bonus at around +25% when going from the 3* weapon, meanwhile the gauntlets or pistols would only give around an extra 10% damage for Carlotta and Zani respectively. I kinda feel like getting the gauntlets maybe since Zani is my weakest character out of the three by far, however I feel like I should get a decent artifact set for her before I make any judgement. I'll probably hold off until then.

Huh, I never even really looked at the standard weapon banner and just assumed it used weapon rolls like the limited weapon banner did. Well that's good to know.
