I have the PS3 version, but I understand it has some soul removal issues, correct?
The PAL PS2 version has improvements over the NTSC versions right? But I assume there are 50 Hz related issues that might make that version undesirable.
What's the best version to play?

PAL version has a 60 Hz mode built in so you're good. The game runs at 30 FPS, don't bother with some jank ass 60 FPS patch. I know it's a meme to say this, but the 30 FPS is more cinematic, I don't know how else to put it. 60 just feels wrong in this game.

publishers hated american gamers even back then. this was their way of subtly insulting them. they hated that they couldn't get away with censoring games back then in the american side of the industry. nearly every game ported from japan is less censored on the ntsc version.

More games need hand holding and couch sitting mechanics.
Also this is the comfiest game to be playing in bed on my Deck right now. It doesn't get comfier than this, bros.

Japan and USA used the same standard for broadcast televesion, NTSC. Hence the regions for video games are designated NTSC-J and NTSC-U respectively.

That effect of the leaves' shadow on the ground. I see shadows that appear to 'pulsate' like that in real life all the time but I rarely see it replicated in video games. Talk about soulful!
