He was making an Ultraman game but it seemingly entered development hell because they never showed any actual gameplay footage about it and went radio silent. Now that he left and is part of nu-clover it will most likely never be finished even though Platinum hasn't officially cancelled. Someone from the team said that the the staff would still try to finish the game in spite of Kamiya's departure but now that the game isn't even featured on Platinum's website that seems extremely unlikely.

What's the best tokusatsu licensed game? All Rider Generation 3? The OG's SNES beat em up? GARO PS2? Super Climax Heroes?
I really wish Banpresto crossover strategy game was good, with how entertaining some Super Robot Wars are I'm amazed with how big of a fuckup that game was

There are some, but tokusatsu isn't very big outside of Japan (I know there's a strong and dedicated audience but most of the fans are Japanese or are an extension of the Japanese fan base) so most of the indie games with those elements are Japanese games and while the Japanese indie game community is strong and dedicated, it is very different from the Western indie scene and very disconnected from it also. Most indie devs in Japan go to dedicated events and sell their games on disks or USB drives and there isn't much info about them beyond the event catalogs.

southeast asia is big into tokusatsu, especially if they're 90s-00s kids. Ultraman is probably the biggest there, especially malaysia, outside of japan and i know the phillipines and indonesia have a large following for kamen rider, where the indonesia even made their own toku (look up Bima Satria Garuda) where ishinomori productions are involved. malaysians made a kaiju/toku game with Gigabash
