Why do you need some super up-to-date frontend, you can use something from like 2020 with 2020 versions of the cores/emulators and be completely fine for 99% of the games you actually wanna play, it's not optimal obviously but it's not a big deal. The only thing that really changes with time is filter quality but who cares about filters, right. Right?
