it makes no sense to drop a game right at the very end, usually its midway when it gets too tedious and no fun (like most jrpgs)

>Signalis
I dropped it at the first person segment on the beach. The yurifaggotry was the first warning sign but I went against my better judgement and played through the game in one sitting. What I got was an unbelievably dull, forgettable survival horror with bare-bones puzzles and resource management and constant, tedious backtracking. This was right after playing SH2 for the first time and I heard a lot of praise for Signalis, so my expectations were high. I'm half-convinced all the fellation this game gets is from dykes and trannies who really want to fuck the Elsters and get autistically obsessed with the lore, trying fruitlessly to find meaning in the game's intentionally vague and esoteric plot. A loli Elster could've salvaged it though.

Sonic and the Seven Rings. There's a specific pattern you have to figure out to beat it and I was playing without a guide, but the game requires you to wiggle the remote to do the necessary attacks.
So I'm stuck on this boss and waggling for hours. I got tired.
Never picked up the game again, the only other game that gave me a workout like that was practicing for the Sandman in Punch Out Wii until I memorized everything

I dropped Elden Ring at the final boss. I just got a bit burned out on the sewers and thought I would try smash all the remaining story bosses all in a row. There were like 6 left. Smashed 5 in a row with my cheese spell breath weapon, died to the final boss once, and decided that was enough. Never touched it since.

Yeah the game had issues.
The last boss had a counter attack, a giant blue orb you had to waggle to repel. A few times isn't an issue but when you're stuck for hours, God damn.

I think The Evil Within might be the only survival horror game I've ever played where I just straight up couldn't finish due to a lack of ammo. I made it to the final chapter, and with only a few bullets left in one gun I couldn't shoot down the obstacles I needed to distract a water monster. So I gave up.

It probably didn't help that I was adamant about fully upgrading that worthless melee attack, thinking it would pay off in some way.

Drakengard 1 was shamelessly repetitive, but the only really hard part about it was needing a guide for the stupidly convoluted ways to collect all the weapons. I though D3 was more frustrating because it took out the one fun element from the first game (the dragon flight) and replaced it with railshooter sections and low frame rate platforming.

Plus I just liked the first game's weird-ass cosmic horror story and depressing characters more.

The only reason I was able to beat the original was because of an exploit where you could pause the game and count the number of rings that were coming at you. Drakengard 1 didn't care about the timing like Drakengard 3 did, and it didn't have the camera swinging around like a drunken flail. Not to mention it didn't fade to black on the final note just for the sake of fucking with you.

You weren't that close to the end, that's like chapter 11 out of 15. Also I think you can drop the dead bodies in the water by throwing a bottle at them. Maybe you can retry if you still have the save file. Also yeah upgrading the melee wasn't smart.

I vaguely remember getting a bunch of resources after the water monster, because there's an ambush right after it. You might have been a few bullets away from moving on. Though something tells me that you ignored the crafting ability, hard to imagine that you had absolutely nothing. Anyway, the sequel is more lenient.
