They'll easily hit their target of 15m units by the end of the year. Mario Kart is evergreen, and the new Pokemon Legends game will make sure it stays sold out through the holiday season. They just need to release a mainline Pokemon game next spring to keep the momentum going.

Its going to have a couple mainline Mario games, a Zelda game, a Metroid game, and a handful of other exclusives.

it's selling incredibly well despite having only 1 exclusive at launch. once its library grows and some hardware issues are fixed (not a requirement but could boost sales) it's going to sell even more.
also keep in mind that the switch 1 has still got some momentum, but that will also cease over the next few months. nintendo really only need to release more exclusive games and switch 2 upgrade patches for older games. nobody will give a shit about the subpar battery life and joycon drift 2.0 as long as it's got games (see switch 1).
