We only gave the kids basic gift cards and cash after that. We gave them nice toys and treasured hand-me-downs before that and the same thing happened to them.
A similar cycle occurs with many other people too; it's like people don't care about the value/meaning of items. If you no longer want a gift, at least offer to return it to us like we do to you (which you immediately accept).

Your generation loves Fortnite, can't get enough of it. The "millenials" (actually gen x but it's millenials you're obsessed with because that's what you watched a youtube video about) you rage at wouldn't have made it if zoomers didn't want it.
