At least it has the same rooms unlike the modern remakes which are really just completely different games that use the original titles as marketing.

that wesker cutscene actually has a purpose. i don't remember how you trigger it but if you wander around you can eventually hear him argue with barry. the remake actually makes that cutscene obligatory.

I'd call the Green Room on that one more Yellow. The hallway that connects to the greenhouse, tiger room, and keeper's room has really pretty green wallpaper with a vine pattern though.

it's just that the Remake has alot of rooms parts that dont make sense, also lisa trevor wandering around, it's creepy but dont make sense. they just put it in because it was the early 2000s and were trying to make the game look cool

Kino. I finished RERe but I should really play REOG too.
I play RE2OG Leon A now and am listening to the RE audiobook.
Fuck the remake for replacing Still Dawn with some faggy generic orchestral piece. It's like the devs thought Resident Evil was some gritty, serious psychological horror game and not the vidya equivalent of a direct to VHS horror movie you'd find on the $1 rental rack. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qn63tNImK-I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qivWOZsOPW0

Honestly the remake is just Shinji Mikami overcorrecting because he thought no one would like the original's surreal campiness in the future. And all the added sections and detours were put in last minute just as cheap attempts to trip up people who already played the original and not because they made the game better.
