Game was carried by its concept and cutedark artstyle, the actual execution was mid. Wasn't a great roguelite or a great management sim, and they didn't mix particularly well together. There have been content updates since then but they've pretty much just added bells and whistles instead of fixing the fundamentals.

It was the most barebones game I had played in a long time. It's more shocking it took off as much as it did when there isn't anything to get excited about gameplay wise.

I already played binding of Isaac and dont really see the need to play with a new skin

The game itself was intensely mediocre and entirely carried by its theming/art style. It's Animal Crossing + Binding of Isaac but worse than either of those games.

For some reason this fucked with me so much. The time passes just a bit too quickly while on a crusade. On the other hand, using the accessibility option to freeze it entirely just feels like cheating.

I liked the main hard difficulty adjusting the way the enemies move and I think maybe spawn, making the combat faster like that is just the edge it needed to remain exiting though. The weapons and spells feel quite good and satisfying to use.

But yeah MGS Peace Walker was a lot more fun as a similarly structured base/follower collection game.
Boy do I like the lamb game for its audiovisuals though.

It wasn't a food issue more so than it was just the time passing and people sometimes dying because of it. It feels weird to be how hard it encourages me to run through everything as fast as possible all the time when crusading.
I should just play with the disability option and quit worrying about it.

it's okay but I think the dungeon gameplay is a bit lacking compared to isaac and I didnt care that much about base building so I just stopped after beating the main campaign
