You know people are still going to buy it. They bought the $100 2-day early access of Doom: The Dark Ages. They paid the $80 Stellar Blade complete edition. They paid the $70 5-day early access for Dune: Awakening. They paid for $80 Mario Kart World. People may complain online but their actions indicate they are fine with it.

TOW2 is going to struggle. If Gamepass didn't exist, 85% of the people who played the first game wouldn't have even considered trying it. This isn't Mario Kart (and Xbox doesn't have the "aggressively buy anything from our favorite brand" kind of fans like Nintendo), this isn't GTA VI, and it's not a major franchise. Nobody even cared about it when they did the "Direct' for this game after the Xbox showcase. Now a days games aren't even feature complete on the disc. Cyberpunk is the last example I can think of for a AAA game that was fully on disc, and that's the horrific 1.0.
