they were a genre designed for kids to play in arcades and just have fun mashing the buttons and hitting your friends in the face but not irl and also shooting fireballs because holy shit wouldn't be able to shoot a fireball from your hand be cool?
fighting games should've died with arcades, but instead they persisted. and became the genre of the sweaty unwashed tryhard who has no fun only autism
