The job market is a 1:1 copy of the online dating market. Even if you'd be a good match in natural circumstances you will never get your foot in the door unless you fraud your resumé to get ahead of the crowd unless you really are that Chad that doesn't need to fake it.

I emailed the employer asking to cancel the interview and that I was withdrawing my application. They said no no no let's talk this out we really think you're one of our strongest candidates, almost begging me to not withdraw.

I left a great job for what I thought was a better job (paid over 20k more with less stress). I got laid off bc 3 months later and couldn’t fuck shit for 7 months. A manager from a job I worked at 4 yrs ago got me an entry level role recently. It’s a huge step back for me but it’s remote and it has great benefits. I have like 15 yrs experience in healthcare IT and fucking NOTHING but endless interviews that went NO WHERE.
I’m grateful to have a job. If I didn’t get this role last month, I’d be a wagie at target.
