If I ever really got sick of the game's story, I'd probably end up quitting the game entirely. Like 90% of this game's worth is tied to the plot. Who the hell plays a game like this for gameplay? Every character literally only has three means of attack.

Honestly the lack of "trains in space" is why I grew out of the game. The game is less of you being a space faring adventurer and more of you getting dropped on a planet and staying there for 6 months and only occasionally going back to the 3 previously visited planets.

How is this related? The only "worthwhile" content in the game is the story. 3/4's of the playtime of every content update since 3.x are in the story. There is no reason to play HSR outside of sunk cost or liking the story.

I dropped the game out of principle when they decided to gut and remove every interesting part of their game, from their framing to the story to the gamepkay, to make it generic wanked MC shonenslop with Chinese characteristics. Their dedicated playerbase wasn't enough and they debased the game to attract more, zero integrity or trust in their own creation.
