I genuinely believe the game would be remembered better if you weren't called a pussy for sending your radiation-immune/radiation-benefiting companions in for you. Like it puts such a sour taste in your mouth you sit and think "Why would you put me in a situation like that?" I can't tell which is worse, the game literally preventing you from making a smart decision without paying $10 or paying $10 and the game calling you a coward and your companion (Who could be a literal robot or brainwashed ghoul made to follow your every command) the true hero, just to reveal you would've survived either way and it was basically pointless to even implement the choice part anyways.

Anchorage is neat for a one time playthrough. Every other time and you realize you're playing CoD with FO3's gunplay.

I remember not liking it very much even back when it first came out, and I actually liked Fo3 at that point. OA is painfully railroaded and uninteresting, I have no idea whose idea it was at Bethesda to make a DLC completely focused on combat in a game with some of the shittiest shooting ever, but it's a miserable slog the entire way through and your big reward is a set of power armor that is only good because of its high durability

correct, I only play zeta mostly. I did beat the main campaign and instead of the guy dying at the end, he just walked through the door and ran to a town as if nothing was supposed to happen to him.

Anytime I have a thought of replaying Fo3, which isn't often, I just think about replaying The Pitt and Point Lookout

The ending of Fallout 3 without Broken Steel feels like some Undertale levels of guilt tripping the player for not laying over and dying

at the time, it was "cool" to shit on gamers for pointing out shit and portray them as whiny babies.
if they wanted to be smart about it, they could have done something like a cave in or something prevented your companions from coming with you in the final rooms where you have to make a choice. Like people aren't complaining the protagonist dies at the end, they're complaining that they died for an easily avoidable reason.

Who gives a shit, its the end of the game. Consider it a fourth wall break. Why is the game better if it lets you weasel out of your destined ending? Does it make the preceding experience better or change your life in any way? I don't understand RPG fags. Just play the video game.
