The game is priced at $90 on the Xbox online store in my country.

Maybe sell it at $20 instead next time and I might consider buying it.
Games shouldn't cost much more than a DVD movie. Especially not the games that failed hard to live up to the hype.

The last Xbox owners were brainwashed into not paying for games.
Steam and Playstation are carrying the sales.

Because they still price out the DLC for maxium goyim gains and really don't understand the climate where their games are entertainment meant to be consumed as soon as possible, which most people did via very delayed PS5 / PC launch or via social media. I would have loved to have had this and FF7 years ago on my Series X, but the best they get now is me buying them cheap as game keys for my PC since I ultimately sold my Xbox for a Switch 2.

Xbox gives off big Sega energy nowadays since "everything is an Xbox" when there's no real identity compared to the 360 or OG Xbox days, and that's pretty bad to be honest.

It’s a shadowdropped 2 year old game. The majority of hardcore FF fans have already played it on PS5 or pc. I’m personally excited to play it on Xbox but I want to get through some of the previous games first so it’s on hold until then

Most people don't play the games they buy for more than an hour max. Many end up never even booting them up. Sure, you can 'theoretically' play a game for a hundred hours. Just as you can 'theoretically' watch the same movie hundreds of times. As I have watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy. But that shouldn't determine the price.

I have a pc and I have gamepass
It's an incredibly good deal because of the huge amounts of games I can play
It's the only time I play games on day one
Between steam sales and family sharing, epic game free games, gog free games and sales, and game pass I just don't pay much money for games
Why should I? I have hundreds of games in my backlog already

It's a movie game that's been out for 2 years on PS5 that people have already watched Streamers play if they had any interest in the game.
The gameplay and rpg mechanics are completely barebones and not good enough to carry the game.

I can see why you would compare them, it's the same genre after all both being movies but people aren't going to rewatch 24 hours worth of cutscenes after they've done it once.
There's a reason songs are as short as they are because they're easily digestible pieces of media that are instantly accessible, you longer you make a piece of media be it a movie, a game, a book, a song and the more difficult it becomes to sell and the more exceptional it needs to be and FF16 is not exceptional.
