I used to prove modern FF games were objectively good and the critics were objectively wrong by throwing sales numbers at them. I even went through SE financial reports to back up my claims that the games were doing great and hugely popular. Ever since Rebirth came out I've not only stopped salesposting, but I don't think others should salespost either.

literally who gives a shit. phil certainly doesn't. gamepass with their 35 million subscribers is making them roughly $6bn every year plus whatever they earn with hardware and actual game sales. that's why phil said that having great games wouldn't help them against sony and nintendo. all they need is a bunch of games that, in total, are good enough to keep people subscribed to gamepass. that is their business strategy. that is how they are staying alive and profitable.

Let’s say I’m a an Xbro. I’m interested in Final Fantasy. Square decides to not put their big games on my video game box. I lose interest in Final Fantasy. I instead move on to other games from Japanese studios like Capcom and Sega. Square finally decides to put SOME of their main games on my video game box after many years. Do not care cause better games and JRPGs have since come out since then. Is this a fair assessment?
