Pre-built just gets more and more appealing by the day
not only do you not have to deal with the hassle of installing parts yourself, they get installed by professionals instead so you know the work is quality and now they're even throwing in free monitors
pre-builts also seem immune somehow to the GPU price gouging so it's even cheaper than building your own!

does it even matter how quality the job is if the pc has to be mailed already assembled?
no matter how much protection they add, it's still going to be much worse than just mailing parts and assembling them on the spot.
Also let's be real, even if you don't feel up to assemble it yourself your local pc guy is almost certainly every bit as good at assembling as whatever employee shitting out a hundred builds a day, and he's going to ask much less than the insane margins these companies ask for.

It don't worry it won't, I know how to pick my components. The CPU is in the 90th percentile for gaming CPU's on the market. Keep seething while hugging your PS5 I guess. ;^)

i'm not a console shitter.
The issue is that most budget gaming prebuilts will frontload GPU and CPU and you're left with dogshit unnamed components and trust me bro "gold" PSUs.
Ultimately not my problem but building is still the way to go unless you're just that lazy or to paranoid to fail the lego check

I had to return my prebuilt three times before it worked properly and they had to rebuild it from the ground up the third time around. I had to get the Better Businesses Bureau involved just to get a functional computer.

Avoid Build Redux. Absolute pain-in-the-ass.

Put this on the list: You can get extended warranty on some components (10yrs with PSU). If you buy it in prebuilt, you will get standard warranty and you have to send in whole PC if something gets fucked up.

What you say is partially true, but these days everything is made in China regardless of the brand. In many cases you're paying for the logo. The most important parts, (GPU, CPU, motherboard, SSD) are all well established brands in this build.

If you are going to be a fag and buy a pre built then I would recommend getting lenovo's higher end legion desktop line. I did warranty repairs for amazon when I lived in NYC and out of all the shit I've had to service their legion desktops had the least of amount of DoA's of all the gay shit I had to fix. I serviced maybe 3 of them. They use good cable management and easy as fuck to get at everything, don't skimp on paste or their PSU's. My only nit pick is that the CPU is a cunt to remove but other then that those bastards are solid as far as OEM big box bullshit goes.

Virtually every prebuilt computer I've ever examined for friends/family cut corners somewhere. If not in components (particularly the Mobo/RAM/PSU/storage since people just look at the CPU/GPU specs and amount of RAM if they look at all), then the build quality is usually also garbage. Also, building a PC yourself isn't very difficult. The only reason I'd even look at vendors selling PCs is because of dogshit GPU prices.

While building your own PC is basically adult Lego, the hardest part is having the knowledge to build it in the first place. If you have no clue what a header is, what standoffs are or where they go, or shit like that then you'll never build it. With that said, SI PCs are gay and OEMs are gayer. All scams. Take the time and build your own instead of paying a MASSIVE markup for some retard to build it for you. Poorly too.

That's more of a hobby at that point, like water cooling. Or they bought the wrong parts and now have to spend more instead of buying right the first time. People always buy the cheapest shit for their first build, get mad that it's worse than a console, and then overspend.
