I will try out all of them but this is still the answer. LoK is nice too but it doesn't really let you sink your teeth in to the core of vampirism and what made the greats great.

I know it's being called one of the best movies ever because it's black focused but it's good. Though the stepdance is pretty mediocre, especially since the vampire is supposed to be an ancient Irish guy.

Nothing hateful about it. It actually has very good renditions of irish folk music and the irish vampire's entire motivation is using music's magic powers to visit his ancestors again because he's been stuck in america

He's the antagonist but he's portrayed as almost sympathetic and from what i can tell he's completely stolen the show and he's loved by the audience.
