This is pure consoonerism cringe
I got back into Yugioh a few years ago through Master Duel and I really really like playing the game it's a lot of fun but I'm kinda sad that even though in having so much fun it's all just digital and I don't actually have any stuff because of it. I've thought about buying a deck of cards but I don't have anyone to play with.

I wish Konami would have made decks with NFC tags in the cards and release real duel disks that are just NFC scanners and make it so you could play against each other online (or in person) using real cards.

I know it's stupid and pointless but it sounds fun and I'm pretty sure we all secretly wish this was real. Only faggots who don't listen to the heart of the cards would hate on this idea.

some yugioh packs now include codes for you to redeem in master duel or duel links. you either get cards, playmats, sleeves, or whatever.

That's actually cool and I'm surprised they didn't do that sooner. So if I buy a deck, I get a code for the same deck in Master Duel?

Too bad I don't have anyone to play with. I should go to a card shop but that takes time and effort.

you dont get the same deck, just promo cards or cosmetics. its like how the yugioh games used to include 3 cards inside the game box.

What the fuck are you talking about? Is this an NA exclusive thing or a specific structure deck? This sure as shit isnt a thing with the traptrix or blue eyes structure deck and it doesn't happen with booster packs/boxes. Konami is known to be scummy with the tcg and treat us like shit when it comes to tcg products compared to ocg

certain packs include promos for the gacha games including a code gift. not all packs have this.

Unless you're literally in the middle of nowhere there's probably a game store not too far away where people gather to play. Though yugioh isn't as popular as other games today so not all of them have it.

Go to your local comic book shop, odds are they have some kind of tournament/players there every weekend

I remember when I was a lil anon playing pic related. I had a book with pictures of all the Yu-Gi-Oh cards and would use a magnifying glass to try to make out the little number code on the corner of the cards so I could unlock them in the game.

I live in the largest city in earth. There's card shops and there's places to play Yugioh, but I'd have to take the monorail 10 minutes to get downtown and between work and being a parent I don't really have time to do that and my kids are still too young to learn how to play yet. Master Duel is really convenient for people like me, but I wanna play with real cards because I'm a consoomer.

I'd be surprised if there was a single comic shop in this whole country. American comics aren't popular here.

Well that's sort of just the limitation of any social hobby. You need to be at a place to meet up with other participants, so some amount of travel is always going to be necessary. Unless it's actually people living in the same building, and even then you would usually need at least a few minutes to walk to a common area.

It's better than Master Duel and I'm tired of pretending it's not.
