>>712872010man I get what they're going for with this, a lengthy and uninhabited hallway or building sort of has an eerie presence, an energy about it, that can be foreboding because of how "loud" the silence is. makes sense for zoomzooms, who are one of the loneliest generations ever, who don't stop to notice how lonely they are because they're always occupied by a screen or "social media content".
the spooky hallway is what you get when you realize you're all alone, perhaps in a place where you shouldn't be all alone. walking around alone in a place that should be public like a mall or an airport makes you feel like you're this small speck of life crawling amid a gigantic corpse.
the same feeling you get from urban exploration, but the disconnect comes from it being a fucking video game. you might feel that immersive le spooky if you actually went to explore an abandoned insane asylum or hospital or something, but knowing that it's a game renders it impotent for most people. guess zoomers can't tell the difference between the digital and real life.
