There are really dumb people online claiming victory for the $70 price tag like that wasn't going to be the set price from the start. We've got a deluxe edition that is worth $130 which I think is the most expensive price for a game this year. Monster Hunter Wilds Premium Deluxe edition only comes to $110 but maybe if you add all the DLC it would be bigger? Though, I think that should be included but I'd have to double check. Randy Pitchford played you fools because he's charging more of a deluxe edition.

I'm not excited, but I'm vaguely interested. TTWL showed that they somehow actually had a capacity to learn from their mistakes, and while it still was far from perfect, it circumvented a lot of issues that BL3 had and managed to be a surprisingly competent game--at least, up until the fact that it had no form of TVHM/Mayhem mode and the DLC was actually insulting.

There's no way in hell I'll pay anywhere above $10 for this shit, as per usual, but it at least has a chance of being serviceable slop. Maybe I'd be harsher if this wasn't somehow the only real example of this kind of game, especially with full 4P Co-op.

They're all just additional arenas and bosses for the post-game roguelite mode, except even then, much of the "content' in them is constructed from reused assets, and yet they charge $10ea for them. It's the exact same problem as the Holodome Onslaught was for The Pre-Sequel, except even lazier, and they did it like 4 times.

The only notable thing any of them add is that one comes with a new Class, but it basically just a straightforward Elementalist class that you take to fill in the gaps of another elemental-focused on.

What happened here was the Decoy Effect, I think. By making people think the game would be 80 dollars, they made the "reduction" to 70 look good, when it's actually an increase from 60. That's assuming this was done intentionally and wasn't a genuine walkback from a desire to sell at an 80 dollar pricepoint. There's no proof that it was one or the other.

BL3 was so ass, the gameplay was sort of improved but the game is like 3 hours long and the story and characters are terrible. I'm guessing it will only be worse in 4.
