I hate "modern graphics". They're wildly not photo-realistic and just makes the gap between the game and reality look worse. Especially Unreal shit and unreal lighting and default settings. There's this awful "unreal engine look" that i detest.

That's a game from 2015 anon. The main limiting factor isn't the engine, but the hardware, and they had to ensure that MGSV could somehow run on the PS3 of all consoles (a notorious weak one).

it's recoded from the ground up, doesn't use any of the original code, feels very different to play with some addition even if it keep the same gameplan, enemies have new patterns,there's new small cutscenes,
animation are different beside old cutscene keeping the old mocap anim,level design is mostly the same, most extras are new or remade
