Have you watched it, or did you form your opinion on it from social media?
I genuinely recommend giving it a try at least. Didn't think it would be anything special but it is in my personal TOP-5 fav animes now. Even my dad liked it.

I want to actually talk about this, but I'm not sure if you are trolling at this point. I don't mean that in bad way, but the fact you said the exact thing that I warned you about doing just tells me that you either read the first sentence of my post and replied, or that you are just trolling.

If it's former, and you have trouble with reading longer things ot have trouble with slow pacing, then fine. Maybe Frieren isn't for you as the pacing can be quite slow and calm rather than constant action. Thankfully you have shounen anime for that, if you watch anime at all that is.
If it's latter, then I still hope you give it a shot. You know how bad something good can look by bad publicity or obnoxious fans. Think about your fav game/anime, you know the obnoxious fans of those things.
And if you don't know what I'm talking about... I have bad news for you.
