I just find it funny that snaking makes having a high drift stat godawful in DS.

It's one of things where it's annoying because it's not how the game was designed to be played while simultaneously being so much more effective than normal play that you're essentially not allowed to play tMario Kart if even one asshole present is a snaker. And don't give me that "boohoo the staff kept it in so it's fine" bullshit, they clearly did not expect or plan the game around people ruining everyone else's fun by abusing a physics exploit, Had the DS been able to patch games they 100% would have removed it after it took over online play.

Snaking being so much easier than in 64 was a carry-over from Double Dash where snaking was just as powerful, but every other aspect of the game was more difficult to at least try to make it seem balanced. Had miniturbos hit a perfect medium between DD and 64, the game would've been perfect.

Playing the two in quick succession, the main difference is the massive miniturbo buff. Everyone already knows the infamous Dry Bomber with a miniturbo that lasts fucking forever, but even besides that the miniturbo in DD is extremely short. It probably compares to some of the weakest miniturbos in DS.
