I never heard anything of demon souls yet some gus believe its better even tho it has less content and is overwise the same game?
Also the same people hate the remake for some reason.

If by less content you mean fewer big empty areas, sure.
In my opinion Demons Souls has the better consistency in level design, but Dark Souls has better bosses.

Remake haters never played the og or the new one. Demons is better than anything FS has done since. Like EA/Dice after Bad Company 2, they can not figure out what made it great.

Because not only is Demon's Souls a masterpiece, it was the most forward thinking game of its era. Everybody who played it when it came out in 09 would tell you that this was the game people would be talking about. And it was true. I respect Dark Souls a lot, but most of what's good about Dark Souls was what was good about Demon's Souls

demons souls is literally the best souls game, retains the identity and purity where dark souls lost it over time and reduced it down to boring offline boss rushes with levels that are just straight lines
still my favorite souls game, first level in demons souls is vastly superior to most levels in all souls games, and definitely elden ring which is nothing but copy pasted layouts over and over

Both games to me are amazing. I just like Dark Souls more but I don't mind people preferring Demon's Souls more. Why is there any reason to care so much about this?

Sad to say I wasn't there from the beginning but the DeS community was amazing as soon as I got to be a part of it. So far the only Souls game I haven't played is Normie Ring but nothing has compared to the original, they've only gotten more bloated.

yeah, although DeS is a later Mega Man game in this case with stellar level design, and DaS is Metroid (NES) with worse level design
it's no coincidence that the best level design to be found in DaS, the Painted World, is also disconnected from the rest of the world in much the same way that the levels in DeS are separated. not needing to connect to a larger space is what allows the level design in DeS to be so good

I pre-ordered the NA version of Demon's Souls because some guy on /v/ kept making threads of his adventures in the chinese version. Was fully playable for him. At the time I was really into Monster Hunter and seeing the huge bosses gave me those vibes, so I gave it a chance. I'm glad I did I love the series. The Gamestop I got it at only had one pre-order bonus booklet and cd. Apparently they only ordered about 8 copies of the game itself. Now Souls is in everything.

Exclusivity. Same reason Bloodborne is wanked. DeS was revolutionary, but DaS is objectively a better game.
