More APM is literally better.
A white lie to get noobs to play my niche genre. Teehee
>>712873842 (OP)i just want handcannoneers to be better.
RTS is a failed genre unless you're autistic/Asian (genetically autistic). Spazzing your screen around, build orders that need to be executed as quickly as possible, rushes and basically every strategic aspect of the genre ruins the soul of every single game.
>>712873842 (OP)APM being a factor in the outcome of a game of strategy is antithetical
I don't need APM cuz my actions are per second
>>712873842 (OP)What's wrong with Associated Production Music other than studios should license from more stock music libraries?

The difference is retards that click a lot for no reason vs effective APM
>>712875435i like using them and want them to be better :)
>>712874891It's a genre for autismos, yes, but that just means it gatekeeps itself and those autismo can enjoy peace and serenity playing vs. each other while the shitter-shattered noobs let the door hit their ass on the way out.
I play simcity like it's starcraft and starcraft like it's simcity
>>712873842 (OP)You really don't. BAR is the only nu-RTS that makes you grind APM.
Everything post SC2 is a reaction against its APM heavy focus.
you can play at 2000APM easily by just spam clicking random move commands constantly but it won't help you win
doing more things is better, as long as they're productive things, but "apm" is basically never the limiting factor on how many things you can do because its extremely easy to do unproductive things, it's your understanding of the game, familiarity with your strategies, ability to multitask and track timers mentally etc that limit your ability to be productive, not your speed.
>>712873842 (OP)there is a definite plateau for apm, and the point of diminishing returns is a lot lower than some pro players would like you to believe. Back in the days of brood wars where you needed to tell a unit to go to the space 11 times for it to get the idea and you could only do it with a handfull of units at a time it made sense that more apm = better player. But modern RTS's have so much quality of life features that make having a high apm redundant. Scouting, macro, and select micro are much more important than a consistently high amp.
>>712875449>Red Alert.>Good story.Stopped reading right there.
>>712873842 (OP)APM is a meaningless meme statistic that sponsors use and love for some reason.
Like 90% of it is just mashing the same commands so they can put on screen that they're some 250 APM player while all they're doing is selecting their barracks every tenth of a second. Everyone just got good at doing it because sponsors loved it.
