Here. Highlights on Nu-LoL character's costumes are usually done with gold. It's typically not changed much in chromas (though they will change the shade a bit or shift it to silver in some cases) which makes me think they started doing it as a way to keep chromas consistent. But it's infected their main designs now too, Mel and Hwei both have it, so does the new bitch.

His only good champion he ever released was Thresh. The incalculable damage done to game quality due to Yasuo being completely centralizing below Master for most of his existence is unforgivable. What a shitty, awful champion design. Fuck Yasuo and fuck you. Before everyone got their own personal bans I had to deal with that stupid ADHD nigga by hard camping his lane. Regardless of which team he was on. That shit was cancer. Every Yasuo main was a retarded troglodyte who just hyper aggro'd without fail. And that's not even his worst release. Zoe was awful too, but nothing compares to the complete, unambiguous turbo cancer that was Kalista. Yes let's create a champion who either does nothing or wins with no in between, and give her the ability to grief her support. I'd rather fucking take a temp ban for afking than support a Kalista. Haven't played in three years and I still get angry thinking of all the times I didn't dodge on a Kalista and they fucking ulted me at the perfect time to grief me out of a kill or waste my CDs. Twice as likely to use the ult to fuck you over or to try and force you to initiate as they are to do anything useful with it.

No idea what state nu Akali is in now but she released completely broken and they removed parts of her kit to fix it. Thankfully I wasn't a top or mid laner at the time so once it became clear she was ungankable and could 1v2 her lane opponent and the enemy jungler under their tower if she got even slightly ahead I just banned her and dealt with the agony of facing Yasuo for a bit. That was definitely dog-shit too but Riot didn't leave her shitting up games for years. They gutted her shroud, increased her CDs, and nerfed her damage.

I have stopped playing League since Vanguard became a thing. Friend of mine keeps talking about how he has to restart his pc every time just to play it.
But even besides that, I just cannot bring myself to play it again. Even when Arena came back, which is easily my new favorite gamemode, I just didn't care enough.
That's not even going into the overall decline in quality. Skins are getting worse, particularly legendary skins and above. They try and shit them out as often as possible, and the quality tanks because of it. New legendary skins cannot compete with old legendary skins, and the new exalted skins aren't even on the same level as something like Elementalist Lux or Spirit Guardian Udyr, so what's the point of even buying them? Especially when they cost 10 times as much.
I miss Mid to late 2010s League. The champions were fun and creative, had high quality, skins were at their peak, player engagement was at an all time high, and there was at least the illusion that Riot still cared.

Back in the day LoL had mediocre art for it's champions for the longest time, until people discovered that Korea or maybe China had different splash art that looked way cooler.
I believe they eventually moved to using the non-western art eventually, by popular demand. (I'm talking about the style, I don't know who's drawing what)
You can cry that they moved away from being 'soulful' or whatever until the cows come home, but the fact of the matter is that this was decided more than 10 years ago, and you're in the minority in you think old splash was better.
