Malenia is overrated and not a particularly fun boss
Half the DLC bosses are slop and Fromsoft is trying too hard to make basic attack chains frustrating to learn and play around via off-beat and misleading animations and fake openings

Malenia is the best boss in the base game, because she punishes tanking to get a hit in.
The worst thing about ER is I didn't need to learn many bosses because I could just attack heal through their damage after attacking them while tanking with endess poise.
Having a million sippies was a mistake.

Yeah, Malenia is balanced, like all of FROM's waifu fights, by being extremely easy to stagger and having zero knockdown resistance.
If you just go in with a heavy weapon or ash of war or spell that does AOE poise damage, you can crush the fight pretty well.

shitters are scared by her aggressive attacks and long attack patterns. they look for an opening that just doesnt come. shitters fight malenia on her terms, not on their own.
