I didn't care for control and I don't care about a game made with reused assets from said boring game.

I'll just copy my take from the other thread.
>3 classes (electric gun with pistol, wrench with shotgun and watergun with greasegun)
>shotgun and greasegun feel like peashooters
>cancerous UI bloat (I set it to minimum text size too)
>nothing has any weight or punch to it
>AI is retarded
>graphics suck shit
>generic objectives (run over here, activate this to open that door)
>fire blocking the way is just an annoying gimmick
It almost feels like a mobile game.

Developers didn't wanna make it. Xbox released it in a buggy state thinking it'd get 6/10's, not 2/10's.

Overbudget, overblown, and released at a cost in a market where everyone is ingrained into their own hero shooter (Overwatch, Valorant, Apex Legends). etc.

Mismanagement by CW. The same team that made Alien Isolation was on Hyenas, CW upper management decided to take those devs away and place them on TW because it was failing really badly. Due to TW failing, lay offs were occuring. The same loop happened, where teams kept being taken off Hyenas, TW fails, layoffs.

Just played an hour of it. Its cool I guess? Seems to have a huge boner for water. If you aren't dousing everything and everybody with water, you aren't playing right.
I picked the Engineer guy with the wrench, that seems like a mistake at first because there's barely ever a sentry gun to fix up on the map. I know you can unlock one but its on the 2nd or 3rd page of the battle pass thing, so for now I'm just a guy with a gun. Also wrench doesn't do melee damage, what the fuck even.

Gameplay is alright though so far. I like that if you pick Clearance 1 the missions can actually be beaten in like 5 minutes. Doing a bunch of extreme diff clearance 1s sounds fun.
The rifle does STUPID headshot damage. Took off like 60% of a boss's health in one shot. I am not yet regretting spending my 40 USD but there also seems to only be 5 mission types. We'll see

You can just play a different class, progress the battle pass, unlock the sentry, then start playing Engineer.
Idk the rarity of it in-game, whether you only get 1 or if it recharges or something. The wrench doing zero melee damage is really fucking bad though. Maybe they thought it was good for balance reasons but holy shit for fun reasons I hate it.

That's really fucking disappointing. I was never going to play this game, but I loved the impact of your weapon in Control. Hope this is just a quirk of Firebreak.
