What are some good motivity/strength weapons? Right now I use the Holy Sword of Ark with its amazing spear mode, and also the police baton handle with the wrench head which seems to do a lot of damage but is not that fun. I'm in thevillage with the black rabbit brotherhood taunting you.
>>712901569 (OP)>Holy Sword of Ark with its amazing spear mode, and also the police baton handle with the wrench headThat'll pretty much do it. I'd replace the wrench head with Bone-cutting Saw once you find it.
How do I kill the crocnigger in the DLC? His moves are near impossible to read. Blocking is useless, I've had better luck dodging.
>>712901569 (OP)I heard this is a parry game.
Bone-cutting Saw with Dancer's Curved handle was my go to for most of the game.
>>712901779His moves are not impossible to read at all. 90% of his attacks have a huge windup with him raising his head or opening his mouth. The most confusing thing are his tail swipes but he has tells for those too.
>>712901569 (OP)Sword of the Ark is solid for a lot of main game. Puppet Axe is good for hooking yourself for mad damage, especially with faster handles. The DLC has several very strong motivity options, and the penultimate boss of the main game has the unga bunga club of anyone's dreams.
Screw motivity, what's a good TECHNIQUE weapon. My wintry rapier from the start is +3, and I just got to the cathedral. It's alright but idk if I wanna use this the whole game.
>>712904701The glaive you start with is good. It flows well and does good damage. Most of the daggers are good with pretty high damage and speed. The katana you get from the junkyard boss is really good if you master it but only okay if you can't get to its high skill ceiling. DLC has 2 different strong technique boss weapons and some neat options for regular weapons.
>>712902208you can beat whole game by just parrying or by just rolling, but the most effective way is to combine both of them
some bosses are easy to parry, and when you parry them a lot then their weapon will break, and they will do basically no damage to you then
is there any use for the arm of god you fet after merking simon?
>>712906506nah, maybe in the sequel
For the boss memory fights, would u say difficulty 2 is equal to the base game
>>712907069i assumed it was 3
>>712907176nah 3 does does a lot more damage than base game
>P-Organ ability
>Partially charges Fable when using Pulse Cells
Game should just give you max Fable when you respawn/use a stargazer
>>7129071763 makes bosses 3 shot you
>>712904701Booster Glaive is really good. Blind man's spear, which you find in the cathedral, is also an excellent weapon. Blind man's heavy attacks can block and parry, which is particularly good on the charge attack. The charge attack has low range, but the block frames make it extremely spammable and safe.
>>712907350Get Fable Catalyst passives and higher item carry limit. Fable arts are insanely powerful and enemies drop Catalysts like candies.
>>712902208Retards say that due to their lack of intellect. Block and dodge are good enough for almost any situation. The game is not designed around parrying everything.
Am I the only guy that thinks this game is average? It feels like the entire fanbase thinks this game is the best Soulslike, meanwhile everyone that doesn't like it thinks it's shit. Almost nobody considers it to be average
>>712907742>Almost nobody considers it to be averageThere is one: Me. I played it and it was ok. But not the best 'soulslike' there is and I wouldn't play it again, not even the dlc. It doesn't turn me on to turn it on.
>>712907868Yeah I just got to the final DLC boss and there really was nothing special or memorable about the DLC. The puppet lady duo boss was a cool concept and the final boss looks cool but that's about it. The game just feels to much like Sekiro at home for me to consider it to be a great Soulslike.
>>712907742Nah its the greatest soulslike. It masterfully tells a story while having some of the most fun combat ive had.
What's the point in giving the opera singer an apple? I didn't get anything from her.
>>712908338You have to return to her after you beat the boss
>>712901779I dodge to the left, and remember which attack sequence ends with the delayed tail swipe
>>712901569 (OP)>motivity weaponPinwheel handle with a lighter blade
Baton with a heavier/longer blade
Curved bramble handle with puppet axe head, modify handle to motivity
Basically anything that plays as close to fast weapons as possible because later bosses have 0.17272892 seconds of idle time before they launch their next 500 hit combo
>ignore fable arts
>equip amulet that increases melee dmg based on how much mana i have
simple as
>>712907742The only souls game that are better than Lies of P are Elden Ring, Bloodborne and maybe Sekiro. LoP is better than everything else imo. It punches way above its weight and is in no way "average" when it can stand toe to toe with the greatests.
It also has the best weapons ever put in a soulslike, not even Bloodborne's trick weapons are better than the arsenal in LoP
>>712907350There's a charge fable on respawn, I think it recovers 3 bars if you spend the extra upgrade on it
>>712901569 (OP)I've been rocking the Acidic blade with the pinwheel handle. Ends up with an amazing moveset
>>712908601I prefer the speedy dashy based combat in Bloodborne at least. It looks cool as fuck especially when it comes to hunter vs hunter fights.
>>712908629I'll probably get it then. The only real threat in this game is the bullshit bosses.
>Oh I'm sorry, were you having too much fun?
>Let's do something about that...
>>712908839Don't stand in its attacks like a tard.
>>712908839The wanker of illusions...
>>712908601I'd replace Lies of P with Nioh 2 and would easily put Sekiro above Lies of P.

>Lea's sword
Who needs this shit, GUNBLADE ALL THE WAY
>>712907742I think it gets extra points for being the studio's second ever game and they got so much right in that first attempt, there are established studios that have tried and failed to do the same thing
the customizable weapons, the legion arm, the fable arts, having a recharging heal as a come-back mechanic, the combination of rolling, parrying and guarding and make it very fun to play, the only complaint is the lack of exploration and linearity, but even then, I also really enjoy the more focused experience, it's the most engaging soulslike by far for me
>>712908839https://www.youtube.com/shorts/c8zcfRoRESs
>>712909423Based gunblade enjoyer
>>712909497I'd say the game also suffers from taking some Souls "tropes" too far. Too many bosses have multiple phases and too many of those bosses have retardedly long attack strings where you have to avoid for 30 seconds to get two hits in. Still a good game but there are some issues.
>>712909549>dude just spam throwablesDid not beat the game.
>the people of Krat hail Lea as a legendary badass
>she was just a single mom trying her best(and often failing) for her two adoptive kids
>>712909664Yeah, I don't mind mix-ups or some long attacks that are clearly meant to be dangerous, but some bosses have combo strings that are just obnoxiously long and then have really small openings, I think its better to have shorter but more dangerous combos than super long ones
>>712909732It's funny, on the one hand, its nice that throwables are powerful and a viable means to inflict status/stagger/damage from a distance, giving them high value. On the other hand, it can almost feel like cheating, especially with high advance where your status throwables inflict tons of damage for basically nothing
Ive never used throwables to an extent where they werent just used to get somethings attention
>>712909910Lea was basically a tard wrangler
speaking of throwables, they completely nerfed the shot puts didn't they?
I've been hard stuck on arlecchino for 2 hours, and I've only been to phase 2 a handful of times. Is phase 1 supposed to be really difficult or is this a skill issue? It's hard to react to a lot of the fast combos and mixups he does, and from what little I've seen of phase 2, his moveset seems completely different so nothing I learn in phase 1 will carry over. I'm on NG+5 and legendary stalker difficulty for reference
>>712901569 (OP)I'm playing the game going for Tecniqhe and for now my build has been
>Rappier -> Buster Sword -> Fire knife + Buster sword handle -> Trident And now that I've killed the puppet king I've changed to it's weapon.
I need dark moons like a motherfucker
>>712901569 (OP)>Holy Sword of Ark with its amazing spear modeAlso went for that the first gameplay. But the bonecutting saw with an adequate handler ended up being my main weapon.
Not sure if slow weapons will work for the DLC. The few times I checked a fast weapon, it was easymode.

>>712909664>>712909952Fast weapons can attack enemies mid combo

>>712907742It's the most mid game I have played. It's just okay, not good, not bad. Nothing of the gameplay hooked me. The story didn't hook me either. No idea if it was becaue eI played Motivity, but that was my experience with the game. I remember being more engaged with Code Vein.

Two questionjs about the king of puppets. What am I meant to do in phase 2 when his eyes glow red and he grabs you? Parrying doesn't seem to work. And how the fuck do I get time to sharpen my blade? Right now I'm failing because my weapon degrades but he's so aggressive so I get no time to sharpen

how we feeling about the dorothy sequel lads? i hope we get some sort of comfy co-op with larger play areas without going full open world. the quality of life improvements they put in for overture has me excited to see if the sequel is a big leap. are koreans devs becoming the best of both western and japanese industries?
Doing boss rematch on Andreus, how the hell do you survive the big blue blast he does in phase 2? do I just try to dodge it?

As much as I love Korean devs, they're still behind in the grander scale to the chinese, but the chinese only make lives service games, thus Korea #1.
>>712915326>one charge to dodge out of the way>one charge to get back in the action>shotgun blast to the face to top it offIt's just fucking SEXO
>>712910164>I'm on NG+5 and legendary stalker difficulty for referenceThat will definitely make things much harder - the game wasnt well tuned for high NG+ cycles being your first exposure to these new bosses (though I think by that many cycles the game probably SHOULD be pretty unforgiving)
>>712915403true about chinese but i think another factor is the talent pool is just sheer population numbers from their side
>>712914736Because theyโre more humble and know what is and isnโt fun about soulslikes. Itโs just little things like putting your souls outside the boss room, letting you teleport immediately, adding boss rematch/boss rush, adding in a training dummy room, etc. They also communicate more and admit mistakes and arenโt afraid to tune stuff up or down, something HACKazaki wonโt do unless heโs forced to.
TLDR: They respect the players, Miyazaki doesnโt.
Can the king of puppet amulet increase legion arms to its max rank? I can't remember if it's good or not
as someone who hates ng+ shit is it possible to do a "perfect good ending" run for this game or does it require multiple playthroughs?

>>712916294You can get the best ending in one playthrough

Its the kind of rhetoric that conservative moms use to ban games like this otherwise little jimmy might see an attractive character and want to "suck a cock". Its why we have so many awful looking characters in the west rn. We cant have anything good because SOME american RIGHT OR LEFT, might get some funny ideas like "this game has cute boys so I might want to find a cute guy to fuck", or "wow that girl is really hot from stellar blade and that sets unrealistic beauty standards so now I hate this game for making men expect women to be railthin and have huge tits or something(idk I tend to try to avoid that kind of discussion cause I get tired of going in circled with them pretty quickly).
>>712921648Even so, I still believe they can understand some kind of logic and can see why cutting off their nose to spite their face is a bad idea. Even if it doesnt help them rn maybe theyll think more about it in the future. I would like to choose to believe in them rather than giving into cold hopeless cynicism, even if it makes me a fool.Kind of fitting given the themes of this game.

>>712923796>liking a fictional character with being gayIt's a male character so it is gay, it being fictional doesn't change this, as being gay having sex irl are two different things.

This is not debatable.

>>712924145There's an impossible chasm between the real and unreal where you are left to discover your own thoughts and feelings. I can entertain how id feel in any of these video game settings and specific scenarios as well. I can self insert as pinocchio and imagine how it must feel to become a real person along with all the awakening passion, pain, sadness and loneliness. Selfishly I can stretch some of these scenarios to include other characters from the same setting and imagine the situation and emotional responses. These things are impossible irl and my mind is not perfect and it cannot capture all of that possibilities even in my head. It is still an enjoyable exercise however and I would like to keep doing it and feeling what I imagine those characters might feel. More simply, I might just wonder what it must feel like to be petrified in a video game or to be vored. Doesn't mean im gonna go outside and look for a bear or lion to eat me. Regardless I think that it's simplifying attachments to fictional characters as just being gay, and its dangerous when there's not enough celebration of characters with depth and complex relationships. I really hate that a lot of devs don't even see a point now and instead prefer to just make generic self insert characters because it goes over the head of normalfags that an rpg might have you actually fucking roleplaying instead of just making a copy of yourself.

Obviously based on the events of the game he is incredibly driven and strong to endure all of this and possibly even a good kind hearted person that comes to lie to others so that their lives might be better. I feel desire for THAT kind of person that wants to help others even when the world is collapsing around him and he still chooses to do good. I don't imagine either of us lived in those circumstances irl and neither of us are created beings that gained a soul through our deeds and magic. Its fun to entertain the idea of being swept off my feet by someone like that but they don't exist.

Is this the evolution of the "genre"? I'm really not feeling it and I don't think I'm going to finish. The DLC is great though, same quality as the base game and probably a lot of content. I'm just sick of the "muh difficulty" and games trying their absolute hardest to just make you die. Like would it be so bad if you beat a boss in 4 or 5 attempts? If you could simply read and react to what's happening and win without practicing for over an hour? It's just too much for me anymore.

I don't see this mentioned much but Arlecchino's design is really damn good in terms of aesthetics. The fancy coat he has on initially, the twirly mustache, and the hat all fit the crazy serial killer vibe perfectly. The phase two insane robot terminator thing with saw blades as well, they really got the design of him down well. Having P Judgement Cut him felt really satisfying because they got the insane evil character down so well with what he did to the charity house.

The ultimate attack.
>>712950528I think Lea was his adoptive daughter and Sophia was his biological daughter.
>>712952715Well, Gepetto kills Lea and Romeo with Arlecchino's corpse right beside them. I don't think that's a coincidence.
>>712952090Only "cure" there is comes from Giangio (who's a Paracelsus spy) and it does not restore lost organs, patients still die
>>712952829It just makes a handle scale a bit better with one attribute - you can't put more than one handle onto a weapon sadly
>Is it better to play qualityQuality gets the best damage for NG+ and ++ runs, but NG0 you can really just do whatever
>>712952915>TIME TO EXIT MY STA-
>>712952951Giangio is Paracelsus
>>712952951Yeah but if you had given her the cure she would've regained her strength and easily solo Arlecchino again
>>712952951We dont know if she had lost any organs yet
>>712953076Cut dialogue reveals she lost her womb
Would you want a Puppet buddy, anon?
I appreciate how straightforward the plot is in this game. I'm so tired of Fromsoftware's verbose bullshit.
Is advance good.
Some of these weapons look cool. I'm doing a technique build for my first run, but I wonder if I should drop a whole bunch of points into Advance, and do an equal amount of technique+advance.
>>712953190>have a shotgun, pistol, whip or flamethrower for an arm>possibly live forever>perfect appearanceOnly question is if my penis would work
>>712953339There are not many advance weapons in the game but it is pretty good if you know what element counters which enemy.
>>712953339Advance gets the short end of the stick in terms of weapons - they get just a small few in both base game and DLC
But those weapons can be pretty damn good and fun, and respeccing is very cheap (though it only unlocks in chapter 8 iirc), so up to you really
>>712953543Beating a boss on Difficulty 5 gives a little amulet you can put on your bag for cosmetic effect
>>712953190I want to put Arlecchino's ergo into a harmless puppet and bully him
>>712953690That's just Chucky
>>712953609what's the difference between difficulty 5 and hardest difficulty?
>>712953872I believe it's all just damage numbers - I don't think the difficulty you choose in the Options menu affects the difficulty of boss rematches
i have 50 motivity, should i start leveling my Technique to work my way into Quality? NG0 btw
So what does completing Overture affect in the main game? It suggests it alters some of the side stories.
>>712953981Yee, unless your capacity/vigor/endurance is lacking
By the end of NG+1 you'll probably be double your level at the end of NG0 so you'll have a good amount of room to mess around
>>712953995A couple of dialogue options
>Different dialogue from Lea while on the beach>Wearing Lea's clothes while talking to Arlecchino will give a new bit of dialogueBesides that nothing I believe
>2 ancient disks left
the 2 quartz are the necessary buys, right?
Do we want Dorothy as the main character in the sequel, or continue with P?
>>712953995Also
>Golden seed fully blooms and can be placed next to the gramophone>Rosaura appears at Krat City Hall
>>712954061>Besides that nothing I believeand the letter from the old lady now has a second part
>>712953339My first playthough was adv, my weapon early on was the thunder stick you get from the first merchant and fulminis, the flamethrower is grest but only after its fully upgraded, you get some more options for element weapons as you go along and DLC has the goated welding arm. You best ally however are consumables
>>712954121I'd rather have Dorothy.
P's story is done and I'm fine with moving on or having him as some kind of optional superboss
If we need a returning NPC to be the Tin Man I'd rather it be the broken puppet you find in the swamp
>>712954121I want the broken puppet from the swamp as the tinman
>>712954121Dorothy. P/Carlo is done, even if his story is rife with tragedy at literally every step of the way.
>>712954121More P
I just don't like FeMC
Am I the only person that uses the seven coil spring sword?
It carried me through the whole game and I almost 1 shot the final boss when I got to him
Speaking of stories, i don't remember most of these new npcs in the pinocchio book, i know i know, that doesn't really matters but i was just wondering if i had missed some sort of equivalent
>>712954121>woman characterNo thanks, it's P or nothing
>>712954431Nah it's very strong, but with the DLC out most people are playing around with those weapons instead at this point.
>>712954389I forgot the exact name, but you know what i'm talking about
>Lea
>All about saving her apprentices, even at the cost of her own life
>Sophia
>Wakes you up simply to save herself, doesnt really care about Krat or the frenzy/petrification disease
The choice is obvious
>>712953339the shock hammer is good and its like the earliest one you get
>>712953609Ah it's for boss rematch.
>>712954761She leaves the "go back in time so you can try again whenever you die" power with you even after she dies, she wasn't being selfish
>>712954761Doesn't Lea only care about her apprentices because she's dying from cancer
>>712954761I'd wake up P too if he was my only hope of not living in endless pain.
>>712955013Nah, she clearly cared about both of them greatly before she got rock aids
If she only cared because she was dying that wouldn't make much sense
>>712954761>>Wakes you up simply to save herself, doesnt really care about Krat or the frenzy/petrification diseaseThatโs not true and you know it. Sophia doesnโt even tell you sheโs being held prisoner until youโre actually at the Isle of Alchemists.
>>712954761I really wonder what exactly did Geppetto did with Lea. I feel like he might've harvested her for her Ergo and then put it into P's mechanical heart.
>tfw you were the only one who could see Sophia in the hotel
and the cricket i guess
>>712954561i dont, the dlc has a shotgun arm and the shuriken arm
>>712955291oh, i thought you were trying to shame me over it, it's called puppet of the future's welding arm or something, it's like a knight's great lance but also a flamethrower and rocket, it's fun
>>712955451oh you mean the actual arm, not the legion arms. sadly im not adv
>>712955159To be fair, P knowing about her being held prisoner ultimately doesnt matter as long as she can usher you to her location with or without that knowledge, which she does. I'm mostly memeing with my original post, but I can't help but wonder just how much Sophia truly cares about the state of things

Once you've upgraded a blade, try it on many different handles, play with different movesets, find what you like.
>>712955701I mean the state of Krat is pretty hopeless, her whole family and household got massacred. In the end she became immobile and was in constant pain. I'm not surprised her only wish was for someone to mercy kill her.
what am i missing? i think i did all of Rosaura's stuff up to the Lighthouse, I did all the Ciphers, I got the merchant's bags to him (but I think I'm missing an ancient disk), I turned the brain vat off.

Is Falcon Eyes the best technique Legion Arm?
>>712956329>I mean the state of Krat is pretty hopelessAnd that would be fine, but Sophia puts on the pretense of caring and that things for the city can get better. So if she had been straight forward from the start about being mercy killed, I think i'd feel better about her
>>712954431is it really good? i never considered it because it's from the first boss.
>>712956475Puppet String maxed out is often better
Or the Icarus if you're in DLC
>>712956495Yeah that kind of doesn't fit with her character, but I think they might have wrote it like that so that Sophia's state would only be revealed at the end.
I just found out Lea and Carlo do a dual fatal strike on Arlecchino if you have her help out in the fight. Do you get a dual fatal with Alidoro too?
>>712956617I hope you get Romeo'd
>>712956651Maybe it's stupid but how. It just be pulling enemies to you. Is the final upgrade attack think particularly strong
>>712956889>Is the final upgrade attack think particularly strongYes - it can knock enemies into a fatal attack state much faster than most charged r2's
The pistol gets kind of outclassed as a ranged arm in the dlc but it's still neat
It has come to my attention that I am bad and a shitter, please kill me
>>712957086i got Goddard's, I told Adiloro he'd save the city.

this was my first ending, what should i do on this new NG0? I plan on running NG+ again, bros.
>Get to DLC on NG+3
>Everything is 2 shotting or 1 shotting me
>Drop diff down to normal
>Now I'm getting 3 shotted instead
>Boss elephant in the courtyard just a bit after the 2nd stargazer actually 2 shots me

>>712958809everything in the dlc will 2 shot you regardless of NG level, not joking.
>>712958391The message system is one of the most soulful things in the souls series. The fact that people still jump to their deaths to this day is kino
>>712958136probably whichever has two or more of the same tree
>>712958757Well first off, beat the last boss by not giving your dad your heart
Next go full Quality with a Gunblade or full Tech with the Two Dragon Sword
>>712958857Plenty of trash mobs you can tank 5+ hits from as long as you have good armor parts
>>712958839The ability to take some damage before dying? My lifebar covers half the screen.

pick up the amulet slots along the way
and for passives basically all of the attack ones, grindstone buffs, legion arm stuff that lets you regen the bar. all of the legion arm upgrades feel so good on ng+ with the DOOM shotgun arm you get in this dlc
>>712959685>IGNORE/DONT PICK UP the "Increase Stiffness when Perfect Blocking" or whatever the fuck the name of that upgrade is, since it is actually detrimentalHow is it detrimental?
>>712959685How is it detrimental?
Arlecchino is a fair fight
Lumacchio is not a fair fight
how many records do i need to listen for this shit to GO UP AAAA im at chapter fucking 10 base game and the end of the dlc
>>712959839>>712960021it causes a mini-stagger that's hard to follow up, and on bosses you're basically letting them cancel their string into a fresh one, instead of getting a guaranteed punish at the end of their string like you would without the upgrade. definitely feels better without it, especially on slower weapons.
>>712960564I never noticed it desu and I beat Arlecchino on difficulty 5 with that upgrade.
>>712960464You need 895 points for it to start saying "Your heart is pounding."
Because you currently have "You feel warmth," it means you have at least 630 points.
Pic related on how to get points, but it's spoilers.
>>712960720probably doesn't even trigger on DLC bosses, seeing as its also hard to stagger them
>>712901569 (OP)this game is too difficult
>>712950150I found it kind of funny how out of all the conspiracy documents, the lighthouse guy was the only one who was just straight up an asshole till the very end.
>>712960923it has easy mode for you now
>>712960923so lower the difficulty. they added easy modes just for you
I have to BUY wishstone uses?
Useless.
>>712961515Yeah it's weird. At first I thought it was like the physick from elden ring. I used it while fighting a boss, died, and then couldn't figure out why I wasn't able to use it again on subsequent attempts
What of these major upgrades and these minor upgrades are worth it..
I'm mainly concerned about the attack/item/ability/survival upgrades. There are so fucking many of them I don't know which to get. There are literally 80 of them
would 40/25 motivity/tech for quality B/B work better than 50 motivity A scaling?
>>712961869I'm going to guess yes because the scaling past 40 isn't high.
Okay, what the FUCK is up with Laxasia? First phase is pretty easy once you get it down, but in the second phase she immediately goes full sick mode. She'll combo your ass, instantly inflict shock, deal humongous damage with each hit, teleport, feint every attack except the ones she double feints and do these undodgeable charges that 2 hit you.
Wtf do I do nigga
>>712961869scaling slams into a brick wall past 40, you may as well stop there and put points into the other stat for variety
>>712962056Use the perfect parry grindstone at the start of phase 2. After she lands, charge up a big R2 and try and rush her down while staying alive. Gotta get that stagger early on to get the momentum going.
I want to hear Pinocchio talkโฆ
>>712962056dodge, don't try to parryslop through it unless it's the lightning projectiles she sends at you. if you haven't tried perfect blocking the projectiles, now is the time to do it.
>>712962375Parrying the lightning is easy, it's everything that comes after she lands. If I try to rush her down she busts out some bogus unreadable lighting AoE or unlockable multi hit spin.
>>712961837You can respec it later, so don't worry about it that much
>>712961837Charged attack, ambush attack, stagger attack from offense

>>712960828Has anyone counted these for the dlc?
>>712963205Just generally being a fucking asshole, like Pinocchio in the story.
>>712960564>never notice it on my first or current playthrough>read this message>Veronique keeps starting a new chain faster than I can charge R2 because of this staggerwtf
Still, I don't think it works on actual bosses at all, only enemies and minibosses
>>712963284>like Pinocchio in the story.Im not familiar with the original story, what makes him an asshole
the parry timings feel off for Arlechinno, like they're not actually timed for the hits but earlier in the swing. its weird.
>>712963205I got sus vibes from him (as the kids would say) from the first time you meet him. He just comes off as greedy and a bit shifty.
>>712963205In context either probably just to be a troll at the time or more like with Lummachio where P just got bad vibes from the guy
>>712963396He's a lying, cheating, dishonest self-centered dickhead who throughout the story has to learn to be a good boy so he can become a real human bean.
He murders the cricket with a hammer for talking shit.
You can just read it yourself, it's actually pretty entertaining.
>>712963935>He's a lying, cheating, dishonest self-centered dickheadThat almost sounds like he's already human...
>>712910164I think my main issue with that boss is that phase two just has so many insta kill attacks, if you get hit by a combo thats basically it its unrecoverable, at least you can dodge and parry in really obvious ways or let lea take a blunt but the massive amount of damage is so rough
I really don't know how you're suppose to play this without Lea NPC
>>712963205There is actually a warning about letting strangers into the hotel. I can't remember if it is from talking to an NPC or a note, and Alidoro fits the bill.
>>712964521That isnt to say its even a bad boss, its actually one of my favs just for looks and moveset alone (that DRIP he had in the first phase was so good, second phase should of kept the jacket)
Its so weird, despite getting my ass kicked and getting mad I didn't dislike any boss in this DLC (cept mayble the Alligator) they all felt fair and fun. I just think they could reduce the damage a wee bit (or finally increase that damn parry window)
>>712913981Dodge mostly, parry anything with obvious timing and if you have a fast fable art or charged heavy attacking him during his red attacks to interrupt
>Get Arlecchino to like 5% health
>he retreats to the sky to do a giga fast version of his first attack
you have got to be fucking kidding me

>>712958507He's not a member. Geppetto is part of the same overall org as the alchemists which are subservient to Paracelsus' org, there's a DLC letter where they basically go "Yeah do the thing or we send a sea monster to kill you all"
>>712963205I think because Gepetto tells you to be wary of any survivors and at that point you have no reason to question him, so you're protecting the hotel people by lying
Why does denying you're a killer to Arlecchino increase humanity when you killed several people already, but then it increases your humanity by killing fake alidoro 5 minutes later
>>712965292Skull speed depends on distance I think
But I have an easy trick to always avoid them
You need to be really far back and to the left, and then when you hear the big RAAAAGH sound start running in a straight line to the right
you will never ever be hit by them if you get it right
For the next bit, you have to double dodge the ground pound in the area which gives you the most space then keep dodging (or guard) the spinny red move
then the three hits either parry or dodge them, parry or dodge the slash, three quick parry that bit
that fucking Fury is what gets me, I have no honest way to miss it, it feels like a toss up. then the slash and that fucking run ending explosion is all bullshit
>>712965348>Why does denying you're a killer to Arlecchino increase humanity when you killed several people already, but then it increases your humanity by killing fake alidoro 5 minutes laterYou aren't simply killing out of sport. You're either doing it to protect the people of the hotel or killing those who have wronged the people of the hotel.
>>712965445i cant avoid his grab attack, if he throws it, its over. i try to dodge and i just cant get the timing right. you cant run from it either. it's just instant death if he actually uses it. my only hope is to burst him down fast enough and hope to christ he doesn't ascend again before i kill him.
Is the golden Snail lum guy a type of listener in the fashion of the Mad Donkey? He seems to know you're traveling back in time every time you die and remember he beat you given his dialogue every time you come back.
>>712965592I think his grabs have the same timing as the Blue girl in the Zoo, its super delayed tho so I cant blame you
Honestly spamming dodge has worked for me with the grab
i got arlecinno within 1 hit and he fucked me up. i dont even know if i want to try again tonight.
I honestly feel like the Arle boss fight is worse if you don't bring Lea, he feels designed with that in mind
that and the dialogue is great
>>712965931You can't use Lea in boss rematch though
>>712966068Which is why you should use her while you can in the story
