Believe it or not, OP, most people play single player games one time on normal difficulty

i stopped being an achievement whore around 2010
games are made with normal difficulty in mind
thats why easy is retarded and hard is 99% of the time just "lol more damage to you and less to the enemies"

Gunfire Reborn is the only FPS I've played on max ballcrusher difficulty and 100% achievements for. It still stays fun despite difficulty increases. Tried Turbo Overkill recently

it really just depends on the game, sometimes i'm willing to dive into a game on the hardest mode first, other times the hardest mode seems to have too many negatives for a first time player to let me enjoy the game instead of bashing my head against it in the hopes of finishing it - for boltgun i'm kinda glad i didn't do the hardest mode since i recall some boss or enemy being able to instantly light me on fire once i was in LOS and since you need LOS to shot stuff unless you have grenades or explosives it's insanely hard to do that fight without getting bbq'ed over and over
if boltgun was a more interesting game maybe i'd go back for a second run and do the hardest mode, or maybe when boltgun 2 happens i'll give it another shot in the lead up to it's release

Usually line of sight FPS boss attacks piss me off (because they're one shots typically), but it really wasn't that bad on the highest diff. You take the damage, get some resources (there's no boss arena without extra health and armor), but you make the boss eat shit when you get back in.

I'm not good at shooters but I did this. They give you a free extra life and it doesn't even go away after you use it, its on a cooldown. Last levels where they throw a couple greater demons at you at the same time gave me a lot of trouble but I still got it done

They missed a huge opportunity tying all of the 10/10 one liners to a taunt button instead of just letting the character say them as you clear rooms.

Also how was the DLC? I finished this shit on Hard and it was a slog there's no way I was gonna bother with Nightmare.

I have this, for those who don't know spanish, to get this you have to forage 40 mushrooms, these said mushrooms are required to craft healing potions if you play f2p, so this means quite literally no one is or has ever played the game after they added the achievements after release.
