I was playing Pyro and had a very nice match against another Pyro since we both used shotguns. And when we fought each other, we could both tell we were going to bust it out. Felt like a Western.

Game is still fun but it's weird how little some players manage to want to have fun
'oh it's fun to do x and y' people are whipping out their melees for duels and pyros respond with airblast+flaregun way more often than they do actually fight, kind of unreal how weirdly the game went towards a 'fuck you, got mine' attitude because of matchmaking being a thing

scorch shit is fine on it's own if you just use for it's exclusive intended use of harassment. it's not very interesting or fun to use nor avoid compared to the other flares, but it gets offset with the user's satisfaction of telling the sniper or whoever else to fuck off so whatever.

however, if you use it for getting phlog crits while hiding until you have them you're admitting to be an actual faggot afraid of playing the game. dying is good.

A garden can't instakill two classes if they're at full HP, and 5 if they're overhealed (assuming no weapon vulnerability or HP changes).
I think, however, that a fists of steel heavy will always die in one hit, even at max overheal, which is very cool. That is, unless they've eaten a Dalokhs Bar, but I don't think I've ever found myself in that situation. I haven't done the math so maybe I'm wrong.
And caber is a one-time explosion, so it's sadly hardly useful
