at work we signed a contract with a uniform/carpet company. they changed their prices 3 times in 2 years. when we cancelled our service they tried to fine us $6000 for breaking our terms of the contract. when they produced a contract copy showing they're allowed to fuck around and we aren't, it wasn't signed by us, my bosses would never agree to such one-sided bullshit.

i think of that a lot when it comes to ToS. Microsoft can remove splitscreen online from a game years after it's release but you cannot adjust an .ini to make a racing wheel work without risking access to that software.

To explain what's happening for the uninitiated:
The MIG is a flash cartridge that lets you play Switch 1 game dumps. It works on the Switch 2 now, but if you use it Nintendo will recognize this and the moment that console goes online it will be flagged to be bricked. Factory resetting the device won't remove that flag, so the only way to not get banned is to never take the device online again.
This also means you won't be able to download Switch 2 updates for the games.
