I honestly believe we'll get more characters like this once they don't have to milk DLC for Daipa anymore. It's a shame that the game had to launch in a time where they're trying to milk DB for all it's worth so instead of ending up with characters like picrel and Tarble in the base roster we have to wait until the most recent show gets a bunch of DLC for it until we can get a better character selection, but unless they announce a trillion projects I don't see what else they would do for the 2nd season pass unless they magically start to pull from the toilet paper manga.

I hope you guys are aware that someone being canon or not matters incredibly little in a fighting game like Sparking Zero. A game which already has the movie characters and the GT characters and indeed when they were revealed their trailers actually had amongst the highest views. It's all about if the characters would have interesting movesets and interesting to play as. That's why Cooler, Frieza's non canon brother keeps showing up in games, people found him interesting and want to play as him. Now I don't know how popular Legends is (other than I'm certain it lags behind the other gacha game Dokkan by quite a bit) but I'm not seeing much hype from the crowd regarding him.

I can't entirely blame them. Daima started the same day SZ came out and they knew that was going to happen during development, so it only makes sense they would announce DLC for Daima early on to tie in to it.
However, Daima sucked and the time that it's taken them to release the Superhero DLC followed by the Daima stuff has been holding them up from putting out the characters people actually want, since they are obligated to fulfill the Season Pass shit. However, this reveal, the lack of new costumes and accessories, and the lack of dubbed voiced for the Daima characters all make zero sense.
