Personally I just thought Mario Kart 8 hit way harder. I dont' deny this OST has some of the most amazing rearrangments and a higher quality of music production, almost like a SEGA soundtrack, but that feeling when you're unassumingly starting Mario Kart 8 and thinking "ah, it's probbaly Mario Kart 7 HD" but then you hear that amazing Mario Kart 8 Circuit OST that's orchestrating everything that you see on the screen very loudly, and it's just euphoric in a way I never quite felt playing through World.
