Snakes are fucking awful, they are chill and want to cuddle 24/7 unless if they smell rabbit, chicken, or just about any small mammal on you. Then they just fucking attack. So many people have been mauled by their own Banana Boas with 0 history of aggression it's insane. Just get a lizard instead, even a big boys like a Tegu or a Monitor won't do this although they will throw tantrums and slap you with their tails which fucking hurts

Leopard geckos are god tier if you want a cuddly and chill reptile. Would be my first pick if I ever got back into keeping pets.

if you really want a reptile get a turtle instead, unlike most reptiles they like being handled and touched since they actually feel like especially on their shells
