It's very nice at first, which makes you turn very bitter once you realise how unfinished the game is. There are no minigames promised. Room customisation, the only "minigame" is just 2 png on the wall from your collection and expensive rest of the room as a set. You can't even move furtniture around. Prices are very steep. You won't even get OG leader as an OG player. With all the big start "bonuses" you can't even make a viable deck, not to mention you don't get to chose witch craft you play because of terribble prices.

I've played every major online card game and in Hearthstone, MTG, Master Duel, Runeterra etc you can craft a cheap aggro deck with your week 1 resources and compete at Master or Legend rank. There is not 1 budget deck in king of games rank. you will see random budget rogue decks in plat that get their simply because they dont know what the deck does, but you start getting filtered out by ash blossom alone once you hit diamond by semi retards who know what choke points are. The monetization whinging seems exaggerated and unfounded imo. It's really not that bad compared to marvel snap, hearthstone, mtg arena. In fact I'd even say it's better than all of those. The one game I can think of that has a better system is pokemon pocket and the actual card game in there is trash mechanically. Its just a reality of the world that mobile-oriented multiplayer card games employ this suite of mobile game BS. F2Ps grind, whales buy shit. I think its only a problem when the grind is ridiculous/impossible, and that's really not the case here.

I bought 10 card packs with real money and have opened ~90 in total. I did all the solo content, events, linking (cygames id, old sv), etc. I have a complete artifact portal set that completely mogs everyone I've met online. I have 11k vials. All from around 9 hours. You can get the free portal deck much faster, maybe 30 minutes/ 1 hour, and I finished my build much faster than 9 hours, I just wanted to get everything out of the way.

It only makes sense to have this much of a hate boner if you knew what old SV was like. It was very generous both in absolute and relative terms at the time, compared to this one where the difference between it and the market average is not as extreme. I just don't believe that all 3600 or so negative reviews are from disgruntled f2p former sv players.

Abysscraft just doesn't feel good to play. It seems to take more effort to do something cool. Mind you the degree differed on each of them. For master duel, shadowverse, and runeterra, I had MULTIPLE top meta decks every set. Whereas with hearthstone and the others I had to go all in on the meta deck, and dust everything else. But, even the hearthstone approach is not possible in the extra jewish games.
