It's a good game but does feel very rushed out to capitalise on the success of DKC1 - the decision to remove DK as a playable character and have the lava world as the second world were bad decisions. Pacing is a lot worse than DKC1.

Aesthetic, obviously. The world itself is very easy and boring.
DKC2 doesn't really get good until you get to world 3, which brings the overall score down.

Why did anyone like these old dk games? Every time I saw one, they looked like total dogshit. When I played one, it was extremely boring. I swear to god these games are some of the most overhyped games ever.
