It's a damn good handheld port of Deception. Goro, Shao Khan, and the DA characters being added to the roster was just icing on the cake.
But Goro and Shao Khan are still blatantly unfinished characters. I'm surprised they weren't spruced up a bit for this port.

Beat the tutorial and prologue (tess dies). I have to say, it's very much emblematic of everything wrong with the gaming industry. The gameplay is shit too. It actually feels like I'm playing through a movie with gameplay sections added in as a afterthought like a movie tiein. I will complete it anyways, but man, I'm gonna be annoyed throughout the whole game I can tell. Might as well just run and gun it.

I find a place to explore, find some hints and seemingly meaningless lore and then shit prevents me from exploring that place more like the power going out after I find a key card and seemingly no way to get to the power room

This game is genuinely impressive for a Game Boy title. Despite not having copy abilities the gameplay is fun, the music is baller, the sprite work for the environments/enemies are astounding, and it has fantastic replayability. Extra Game mode is fucking bullshit though. I mean, I played with savestates which made it fun, but that game mode is insanely difficult. I played Super Mario Land afterwards and then replayed Kirby's Dream Land again after that, and it's a night and day difference what 3 years of dev familiarity with a console can make on a game.

It's pretty engrossing, though some of the puzzles and progression is annoying. I don't like how the game will occasionally gimp your wall jump so you have to take the "correct" route.

Oblivion Remastered. My PSU is 50 watts under the minimum recommendation for my 9070 XT, something that capping the framerate SHOULD be able to compensate for, but the part were you zoom into the emperor's face to pick your birth sign makes it go over the limit for some reason, so my PSU shuts off. Played the game more in my head in the end.

Project Justice. Great fighting game with very original mechanics, system balance, and control while also being a soul overload. Also helps that my girl Kyoko is so fun AND strong.

It's pretty damn fun and I'm starting to appreciate it for what it is instead of shitting on it for not being Doom. I definitely understand why it wasn't as big of a hit, though. Cleric is the only class that isn't completely braindead, the limited weapon selection and enemy roster really bring the game down, and the switch hunting demands a lot of patience. The vibe and ambience are spot-on, though, and it's still enjoyable to downshift my brain into second gear and explore the medieval wastes while busting monster heads.

This game is bone stock RTS WC3 clone why did they make up so many genres I almost didn't play it.

Super Mario Bros emulated on 3DS. I understand it started the franchise and it's a good time, but a number of games in the series are far better (3, World, Donkey Kong Country).

Deltarune. I've watched friends play it but never played it myself and just beat chapter 2 today. I had an easier time with Spamton Neo than I did the final boss because I suck at punch-out.

Pinball FX - while the Zen originals tend to be hit or miss the Williams recreations are rock solid, it tends to have weird bugs from time to time for example lately on xbox it keeps giving me a trial version of a subscription they discontinued last year so i been able to play several tables for free.

the game was review bombed when it came out as tables purchased in older games didn't carry over.

DMC3 is fun
i skipped lucia's disk in DMC2 because it was a slog but i'm having a lot of fun with DMC3. the camera can be fucky sometimes though.

Gunforce arcade. i hate the floaty jump that makes it impossible to dodge anything in the air. the bullet patterns need strict memo and mostly dodging just by running but it isnt that bad all things considered. the vehicles are kinda neat and what eventually led to metal slug so i respect that much.
