I have to say, as much as I enjoy this game tremendously, I'm a little disappointed by the lack of outfit variety. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Ys, but having a static look for the majority of the game gets a bit old.

That being said, I'm enjoying it tremendously, and I absolutely adore Woolby. Perhaps even in spite of myself. I don't often enjoy "mascot" type characters, but they just nailed every single design in this game. Also Ulalaka has enormous fucking tits.

Azuma is actually TOO clean of a game.
RF4 had some exploits where you can access places you aren't able to get to yet by Dash-cancelling. And RF5 allowed you to clip past mandatory story blocked walls by abusing the monster riding mechanic, thus accessing places you shouldn't be able to get to yet. Doing these things allowed you to get materials you shouldn't be able to get yet in the game and it feels fun breaking the game because of it.

I haven't any found any such fun exploits in Azuma yet.

If you're going to rush, make sure you do personal request everyday. Only a limited amount of them spawn daily and you need to do 60 of them (15 per village) to max village level.
Also try to get 5 giant crops asap. I recommend using turnip, pink turnip, leek and spinach.

Tides is supremely comfy even if it has some issues. I did like the cast a lot though
GoA is similarly shallow with some whack design and writing choices, particularly is anti-comfy in how you're pretty much encouraged to kick low production villagers and the characters don't really have a daily life, but the characters themselves are fine and I like the additions of the town building and more socialization options
Not the biggest on 3's characters since they're mostly just rawr xd tier quirky, but can't go wrong with the traditional structure and aesthetic. Gameplay is about up to par with 4, it just needed some more content for my taste

Movement was better in Tides, just from having a double jump. It was more of a problem in the early areas, but the platforming in Azuma is a little awkward with the ledge grab and the whole auto-vaulting thing. I have no idea why that's a feature, it just makes my character walk off cliffs. There's no real locations where you're meant to just run through an area and your character auto vaults seamlessly. Plus it felt from the start like sprinting barely made a difference, and switching to the fan just to move faster is clunky. Not to mention, games where you can spam a dash or a dodge are simply more fun. You can't really do that in this game.
