Okay, I'm gonna go ahead and put myself out there and say I liked starfield, so I wouldn't mind seeing more content. I'm not a Bethesda fan, I've only played skyrim and some of the oblivion remake (and 3 hours of fallout 3), so maybe all of the generated hate online didn't really effect me like others. I understand that some of the criticisms were about things that could've been better. I'm also not a big fast travel abuser in general, so the whole loading screen thing didn't bother me since I either didn't play it like other people or maybe mine loaded faster, I dunno. IIRC the video game strike was against 8 or 9 specific video game or related companies. Any VA that striked during this time while working for companies not listed were striking "illegally". If they were working for a non-union job they were scabbing. If they then striked against the non-union jobs that they were scabbing for then that made them really fucking retarded. The people who make million-dollar paychecks as part of the negotiating team essentially told everyone else to go fuck themselves and lose their jobs and homes while they dragged the negotiations on for several months despite getting almost everything they wanted but 2 or 3 non-critical provisions. The fact that they convinced (threatened) everyone that this was a fine situation is both humorous and despicable. I don't know where I was going with this but people with this level of honesty and intregrity were usually killed by their peers when they didn't kill themselves out of shame first.

It stems from some weird insulation mentality in the U.S. where the rest of the world doesn't exist.
Critical Role and groups like that in the U.S. are also ageing out of roles that they would usually be cast for so that also has a part in this.

The rise of Jennifer English and Ben Starr was in part because the roles made available to them over the past year due to American VAs being on strike.
