Whats the /v/erdict on Lies of P overture
I like it. 10/10 from me.
I thought it was a very good DLC but I did not enjoy my time playing it.
Still in the middle of it. Just took the tram and got to Hotel Krat. I'm not sure what to do with the tea set. The description says its only purpose is to be sold, but I'm worried the game's just trying to jape me.
DLC difficulty has been some major asscheeks and it feels like it's made to kill you over and over until you get the perfect guard timing on everything. Still gonna keep playing on Legendary Stalker difficulty, but I swear I'm gonna get grey hairs like this.
>>712967763>I'm not sure what to do with the tea set. The description says its only purpose is to be sold, but I'm worried the game's just trying to jape meIt's not. It's just to sell for some extra ergo and NPC dialogue.

>>712967763Still gonna keep playing on Legendary Stalker difficulty
I gave up on the NPC boss after Merkiona on NG++. After 20 tries of getting here down to like 90-80% of her HP I was done and switched to easy.
First playthrough here; I feel like I'm approaching the endgame and, while know a couple things from what my friend said like there being two(?) endings, I'm playing mostly blind. I just want to know what exactly decides the ending you get and which one is better for more content, regardless of story context?
Also, its safe to beat the final boss before doing the DLC, yes? I won't be forced into ng+ or miss a new ending the DLC might add?
>captcha WRR4PP
I'm not paying for rehash DLC what I paid for the main game. That's the story.

now i'm being sent into a mall, i think?
glad they added easy mode, really hope new souls-like games will all do that
that and ranged weapons with unlimited ammo, like in elding

Is it even possible to hate Geppito more then I already do
Has anyone tested it out what happens with the BRN if you wear their clothes to their second fight?
>>712967209 (OP)I don't know, I'm still getting my ass beat by the base game since my Game Pass save evaporated and I don't remember how to play and I keep trying to do the funny meme katana spin on everything
>>712968678What'd he do in the dlc?
>>712968779Obvious major spoils
Just after the DLC credits, Geppito shows up to where Lea is cradling Romeos dying body. Its implied he kills her with the Nameless Puppet (who is fucking dead Carlo) and steals Romeo to put in the King of Puppets to be used as the fall guy in the Puppet Frenzy scheme. BTW romeo is completely conscious for the entirety of the Game as the King only wanting to save Carlo but we are too far gone to understand him so we have to kill him
>>712968440Here come the secondaries... it's fucking over.
I dont understand Rosura the doll
Is she a person or a toy who had a lot of Ergo in it? If she was a person who was she? If she was just Carlos favorite toy but given a shit ton of ergo, okay but that doesn't feel right.
>>712967209 (OP)Areas after chapter 1 suck and like 80% of the enemies in the DLC are from the main game. Also no interesting weapons outside of the claws.
>>712969415Rage bait used to be good
Can someone explain what happened to Arle after the DLC? I know he's in a secret room of the Isle sending out phonecalls to Pino, but why does he look different? And How did the Alchemists get him back after we torn him to shreds just to put him in some wall?
>>712969863That doesnโt disprove your post from being low effort bait.
>No Boss soul from Arleechino

I WANT HIS KICK ASS BUZZSAWS. AND HIS SICKLE
I know you can at least get his drip. somehow idk how tho
>>712969965Every single thing in that post is true. Chapter 2 sucks. Chapter 3 sucks. Chapter 4 sucks. Chapter 5 sucks. The vast majority of the enemies encountered are basic enemies from the base game. There's virtually no interesting weapons other than the claws and maybe gunblade. Really lazy DLC.

Did BRB 2 get nerfed? On my first playthrough I remember them being a major wall for me. I fought them today on ng+ and beat them first try.
I know at least one other boss got nerfed into the ground, the door guardian is a shell of his former self.
>>712970341DLC is better and not easy mode like base game. Sorry to hear you have shit taste.
>>712968308There's 3 (DLC has it's own and only one, doesn't add a new one to base game), 2 give an extra boss while the third doesn't
>What decides the endingFor the extra boss, make the correct decision at the end. It's very obvious which is the good choice if you paid any attention to the story, but if you really want to spoil yourself don't give up your heart
There's a chance you won't get to choose and lose out on the boss if you fucked up really badly throughout the entire game, but you really have to go out of your way to achieve that so I wouldn't worry about it. If you feel warmth you're good already
What decides between the 2 "extra boss" endings is your humanity level and what you do with Sophia but it's just a different ending cutscene, nothing gameplay related
>it's safe to beat the final boss before DLCYes, regardless of the ending you get there's some stuff to do at hotel before you should NG+ (Just choose to continue current playthrough when asked, you can go NG+ after)

How hard is it to parry in this game compared to say, Sekiro or Elden Ring?
I got the hang of parrying in Sekiro, but parrying normal enemies in Elden Ring was truly hard, and consistently parrying bosses fucking impossible.
>>712973704The timing for parry is 8 frames as opposed to Sekiro's 12
However guarding is much more viable and the dodge gives you some i-frames in comparison to Sekiro
>>712973704It's just perfectly timed guard like Sekiro. Haven't played it since release and I never looked up data, but feels slightly harder than Sekiro
After seething with rage over how dogshit Nightreign was I really was relieved Overture came out when it did. That game was needed to cure the mental retardation FROM put out. I really hope Duskbloods is good, I think it will be. We need something from them that isn't shit, they haven't put out a good product since AC6

Gepetto's nameless puppet is not some fucking killing machine. It is a specific tool used for reincarnating a human into a puppet. Gepetto shows up to turn Romeo into a puppet and obviously succeeds. The method is even laid out in the madman's note. As to why Lea is just killed/ignored that's just shitty korean plothole writing. He could have made her a puppet too, only there is no trace of her in the base game so we're just going to handwaive that away lol. They definitely could asspull that Gepetto had 2 nameless puppets and got them both, but I think they want a clean break from Gepetto for future titles. It's not outside the realm of reason though that a Lea puppet exists. It would be extremely gay though because it is not hinted at in the context of the story at all so it would be an asspull. But these are Koreans we are dealing with and they do love their K drama slop, which this already is. I just don't understand why no one on /v/ understands that Gepetto's prime motivation was turning Romeo into a puppet and has nothing to do with Lea.

>>712975389Im not sure I quite understand your spoil
I quite understand the Namless Puppet isn't a killing machine and is Carlos dead body which Gep wants to put the P-Organ Ergo into to revive his "real" son instead of P because of the flesh of his dead son still being on that puppet. he still uses that nameless puppet (in some way still Carlo) to kill lea. We see it walking up to her from the crate, if it was romeo we wouldn't hear the footsteps gradually gaining on her and the unsheathing of its sword. Romeo didn't even have a weapon on him. Also Romeo is already a puppet apparently. look at his arms. Arcle only removed the fake skin on top and place it on that statue. We already know in the base game the Legendary Stalker is dead or missing, and the after credits clearly show shes dead, and this is how Geppetio put Romeo in the King of Puppets, starting the Frenzy. The only part I don't understand is why the Puppets are attacking people in the past if the Frenzy hasn't started yet? Was that ever explained?
>>712974154Geppetto harvested Lea's Ergo and put it into the core of P's heart.
Holy fuck, the sawblade on poilice baton handle seems OP as fuck
>>712975262No, he was still human in dlc. He only had his arms cut off.
Do people really think Geppetio didnt kill lea? Its pretty obvious that's the implication here
>>712975810And replaced with puppet limbs? When? how? Did the Blood Artist do that, and if so why? I don't buy it, I think he was already a puppet at this time. It explains the crown and puppet limbs at the very least.
>>712975824he spitroasted her with nameless puppet first though
>>712975389So to that otherguy, no Nameless Puppet is not and never was Carlo. It was always just a tool used in the process of making a puppet copy of a human. It's implied that Romeo IS that Nameless Puppet and Gepetto makes another one. So, why would Gepetto need to harvest a puppet's Penis Organ and put it in another Nameless Puppet you ask? Shitty K drama writing. Because despite succeeding at his goal Gepetto feels the need to do the ritual anyways? Yeah, it doesn't make sense because these devs are retarded. The most charitable explanation is the nameless puppet has some kind of weird extra safety protocol. But that doesn't explain why P couldn't also have that because Gepetto made him. Maybe Gepetto is just skeeved out that his convoluted ergo conduit woke up seemingly on its own? Regardless, it's a bad excuse for a bossfight is all honestly.
>>712974071No. Carlo's dead. Bad ending is not canon. Only Pinocchio now and his dick belong to Sophia the Blue Fairy lmao.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6VRr1tzWBU
>>712975907>It's implied that Romeo IS that Nameless PuppetWhat the fuck are you talking about? That is never implied
>>712975907Anon youre making the story wayyy more complicated then it needs to be and getting angry about it. Youre calling your own HC shitty K writing. I don't know if you're rage baitng or stupid
>>712975870Kill yourself.
>>712975865Are you retarded? He clearly still has human body and is bleeding, has bruises all over him. His puppet body in base game looks completely dfferent.
>>712975389>>712975907>the implications are extremely obvious>so obvious in fact the devs themselves didn't think about it>everything that doesn't fit into my theory is just devs being retarded
>>712976056nameless puppet couldnt have been as powerful if it didnt absorb some of leas pussy juices tho
>>712975667Romeo was not a puppet during the Arlechinno fight. Along the way to the fight we pass through a random room with the puppet arms which Arlechinno has clearly smashed and stolen. The implication being Arlechinno shoved some puppet prosthetics on romeo as part of his art. Why? Less answers here than even usual fromsoft levels of retarded story decisions. It just looked good lmao. Nameless Puppet is not and never was Carlo. Carlo was dead too long before Gepetto discovered the method. Nameless puppet was to become carlo through the same process Romeo went through that Romeo even shows P. So yeah, the Romeo puppet arms are literally just visual fluff for his Arlechinno fight set piece pose
oh... oh fuck
Man Gep really is a fucking bastard
the reason the traincar is so bloody where Gem is, is because that's where Geppito took and killed Lea for her Petrified Ergo to put into P. Thats why Gem is there, he was awakened from his coma from that Ergo. Gem was still in his coma in the DLC, he is on Leas back (for some reason she never mentioned it)
the last bit of the DLC is pretty close to the beginning of the base game, I thought it was years ago but it was only like a few weeks at most. Romeo is taken to become the King of Puppets, starting the Frenzy, and soon after that we awaken
Gep is such a fucker
Is this skill good? Seems like an obvious pick
>>712976268Yep this makes sense. Lea's ergo makes P a skilled fighter with a similar style that's why Lea comments on it in dlc.
I've stucked on second boss of dlc, probably my mistake that I've started it on NG+3. Overall I like the game, but I really hate how every single attack is tracking me. This game want me to parry everything and I don't really want to just stay right infront of the boss and wait for my turn.
How d oI deal with the shield guy on top of the catwalk in the grand exhibition? I'm tired of falling off when fighting him
>>712976328I don't know if they fixed it, previously it was useless.
Guys im pretty sure Romeo is already the king of puppets during the DLC
The puppet frenzy has begun, we know that because of the puppets obviously, and that the Grand Exhibition was canceled at the start of the DLC from the cowardly lions dialogue when asking what year it is
We see that from his arms he has puppet limbs, I thought Blood artist may have replaced them but its more likely he skinned him.
Thats why in this picrel, he has a crown on his head, somehow Blood Artist knew he was the King
>>712971887When Geppito comes, he kills Lea and puts Romeo in the big King of Puppets costume. It specifically says in some lore dialogue that Romeo became the king to protect the people he loved, so perhaps he became puppetized to be a better stalker instead of immediately getting put in the costume? he was dying of the petrification disease iirc, and in DLC there's no blue on him.
We know through the king of puppets Gep did the puppet frenzy, so it must be that Romeo was brain wiped at the time until he was put into the Suit, he has to obey Gep so I guess he told him to shut his mouth or else.
>>712976419falcon eyes or throwables
>>712976045Ok fuck spoilers at this point
The whole argument is the nature of the nameless puppet. It's just a tool Gepetto uses. It isn't Carlo and never was. He can and does make multiple as Romeo was the successful test case. He makes a second to do the same process to P. There's no reason honestly other than game logic for a bossfight. P is carlo and even a gibbering retard would know that. There is a good reason for Gepetto to make a second and it is for the other use of the Nameless Puppet which would be personal protection/a weapon against his enemies. Blame the devs that they wanted to force a dramatic moment so the in universe logic breaks down and characters do not act consistent with their goals.
>>712976389Gemini is not unique. It's a mass produced gimmick for the fair. Carlo was Lea's fucking apprentice. That's why she recognizes him in P. I swear this community is retarded.
>>712976491>The whole argument is the nature of the nameless puppet. It's just a tool Gepetto usesDo you think I'm making the argument that the puppet is anything else? Gep puppets the thing to kill Lea, it has no ergo yet.
>It isn't Carlo and never was. Its carlos dead body. Im just saying its poetic irony that through puppeting Carlos dead flesh he kills Lea, its sad and depressing.
if you want to argue Romeo is the first success of a nameless puppet as the king I have no arguments, but I doubt that's what we are seeing here.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/aFyLAyel9Ns

>>712976619>HumanI see you finished the Blood Artist quest in the main game, Puppets ARE human :)
>>712976491>It's just a tool Gepetto uses.>He can and does make multiple as Romeo was the successful test caseThats not implied anywhere
The description of Nameless Puppet ergo literally calls it the first puppet Gepetto ever made that had a P-Organ, which confirms he did not make multiple of them
>P is CarloRetard
>>712976685Find the the human npc in Arche Abbey and after you beat Laxasia he appears at Elysion Boulevard to sell it.
>>712976669The whole point of P is that he has absorbed Carlo's ergo. Any puppet absorbs dead soul ergo and specifically puppets that look alike to the human absorb it better. Gepetto takes it a step further by involving the real human's heart for even better transference.
so what is the deal with the nun character? she mentions she cannot die, you fetch her some crest and then she's gone forever...
>>712976725>has the same haircut years/weeks/days before Base Game because Puppets don't naturally grow hair>Before getting burned we see the king has a flesh colored skin over his endo for his face, just like DLC romeo>His endoskeleton under his puppet skin is the same gold/brass colorRomeo is a puppet in the DLC
>>712976896>But what about his puppet body!its probably what helps him control the King of Puppet suit, its simply an upgrade he got between the DLC and then.

>>712977004Puppet frenzy is started by Geppetto, He is the creator of Law zero which makes him able to control all puppets. :)

>>712977152>Explain anon, how is the Puppet Frenzy going on before Geppito even comes at the end of the DLCLaw 0 of the Grand Covenant is that ALL puppets are swayable by Geppetto
Gep didnt need a King of Puppets, but had one as a convenient fall guy
Or who the hell knows, maybe the one in the opera house already existed without Romeo in it, and Gep put Romeo in there as a sort of revenge for being one who pulled Carlo into a dangerous world of Stalkers
should i start a new game to get to the dlc or just replay in ng+? i dont want to be too overpowered when i get there. god what fucking retard decided to make you replay the entire fucking game for the new content? and from what ive seen its completely isolated from the main game so it just seems completely arbitrary
>>712977164But Anon, the Grand Exhibition is Closed at the Start of the DLC
the Grand Exhibition which was closed due to the puppet frenzy
Explain Anon
>>712977227In a hidden room with veronique's weapon
>>712977152The events in dlc are not that far in the past. Geppetto already started frenzy and was only looking for Romeo to make him a scapegoat.
>>712976268I thought start of the frenzy and beginning of the game are months, or at least weeks, apart. All sorts of things imply Krat was still fighting back rather than almost dead for quite some time
>>712977272Why do you think there needs to be a King of Puppets for the puppet frenzy to exist?
>>712977249Anon the king of Puppets is HOW Geppitio is able to tell all the puppets to do that, he needs him to be the fall guy in order to not have P kill him or worse not like him. The King of Puppets is the means of which Gep is able to command all the puppets, and we know from Base is how the puppet frenzy began. Youre just making things up as you go along now and ignoring what is blatantly said in Base.
>>712977349>The King of Puppets is the means of which Gep is able to command all the puppetsPure speculation
>>712977349You're the only one making shit up lol. Several people already saw through it.
>>712977119Anon this changes nothing. Scene 1 is Carlo approaching Lea to be trained as a stalker. Scene 2 is Lea talking about meeting P in the DLC and recognizing that time is fucky wucky and they will meet again somehow/waxing romantic about death and the afterlife.
All this does is expose the hack devs lol. The dlc establishes that P, Romeo, and Lea basically grew up together and the scene from the base game does not convey that relationship at all. Because they asspulled it for drama>narrative consistency.
Look, different devs have different priorities. Fromsoft are visual devs. They make lore contradictions and retarded decsions all the time in the name of cool visuals. These devs shit all over their lore and universe in the name of k drama moments. Once you see the identify their priorities you can't unsee them.

>>712977272How about you explain the soldier puppets, which are some of the few puppets not carcassed, chilling with the alchemists? We're wasting our time putting more thought into this than the devs did. There aren't satisfying answers here and the devs are to blame.
>>712976328It doesn't work on chapter ending bosses (I think, or it needs so much buildup it might as well). It's shit on mini bosses
>Slow to build up>Enemies recover fast as fuck, you have time for a heal, R2 if you react really fast (R1 with slower weapons)>Enemies start a new attack chain right after recoveringAt best the status builds up at the start of their combo giving you a quick breather, at worst it builds near the end cucking you out of a punish as bosses recovery times after a combo are far longer. For non-boss enemies this will trigger maybe once for stronger ones (the not respawning ones) regular enemies vary a lot and it's the most useful against, but you're also least likely to need help against them

They're called vigilantes, they're the richfags personal agents to do espionage/assasination, but also the monad orphan house offers stalker education as if they're legitimate career choice on the same level as Alchemists or workshop technicians. It really seems like the city just tolerates them because they've been here before it and it's a tradition
>>712977727Don't be upset with anons, blame the devs. They released a contradictory pile of shit and anons are experiencing cognitive dissonance trying to put square pegs in round holes. They seem to mostly be a body guard service who try and protect the city from threats like the Puppets or Pet Disease, or work for the Alchemists.

>>712977912Again, we are putting too much thought into something the devs didn't put any thought into at all. It was always just about their visual motifs and we're digging too deep and there isn't anything there.

The DLC fucked the main story up. Carlo, Romeo, and Lea growing up together is out of step with the main game's story. Hell, we just threw sophia in the blender too, because fuck it why not? That's the level of "clearing up" the dlc did. Aka it didn't clear anything up and made a total tonal mess of the entire world in the name of dramatization like a cheap soap opera.

>>712978207this line from gem on the way to the Expo
You could argue the "Utter Chaos" isn't the frenzy, but that would be ridiculous. The utter chaos is heavily implied to be the Puppet Frenzy itself, which is when Krat fell. if it was the pet disease it wouldn't make any sense, the Pet disease while bad never got so bad until the Puppet Frenzy and the King of Puppets dying like we see at the end of the game. With the King dead the Puppets didn't have the unity to kill off the Pet disease which is why it gets so bad after you kill Romeo.
Given we see in the DLC puppets are all crazy, with not a single Puppet who isn't (outside Rosura) and the Expo was closed down because of the Frenzy we can only assume the Puppet Frenzy has begun.
>>712978045Polendina says all Stalkers are vigilantes, so that's their reputation as a whole. Krat also has an actual police department, so unless stalkers are a part of it they're vigilantes or mercenaries all

To me this was always a mid series at best (actually I'd say it's closer to shit). People compare it to Souls games without even understanding what it was that draw so many people to them. It's not just the combat system, but the general atmosphere, exploration, and the sense of mystery. Lies of P is just badly written and directed cringe.

I can handle that no problem, even if I miss a few perfect guards. It's all the stuff that comes after that gets me. Right now I think my main problem is that I'm not consistent enough with phase 1. I still die to phase 1 sometimes, and a lot of the time I do survive it, I've used up most of my healing flasks already. In some ways, I have a harder time reading phase 1 than I do phase 2 because of the sheer speed and mixups he can do. I have a hard time processing exactly what combo he is doing sometimes. Phase 2 seems mostly readable for now. Is there any advice on getting more consistent with phase 1?

>>712976268>the last bit of the DLC is pretty close to the beginning of the base game, I thought it was years ago but it was only like a few weeks at most. The cat goes from a young kitten to fully grown between the DLC and full game, that alone makes it months at the very least, never mind Gemini indicating that the zoo burnt down a long time ago, or how the elevator below the hotel goes from taking you to the fucked up alchemist sewer lab in the DLC to instead the cave base in the main game. Plus Hotel Krat went from being not even open yet in the DLC to having been open long enough to get a good reputation and even ghost stories about it before the city went to shit.
Also what the fuck happened to Alidoro?
>>712979160>This doesn't resolve Lea's relationship/lack thereof with Sophia. Shouldn't she be the least bit concerned about Sophia's existence/wellbeing/whereabouts?Because Lea is her Sister? Why wouldn't she care.

What did him in was a partner he met later, between the DLC and Base, named Parrot. They have an argument over Parrot using the tresure they found for profit, so Parrot killed Alidoro and assumed his identity.
The Alidoro in DLC is the real Alidoro, the Hero from the stories. the Alidoro in the base game is Parrot, a conman using Alidoros name and legacy for personal gain.

This is the timeline we can assume
>Before the DLC, Romeo is made the King of Puppets or just a puppet, Puppet Frenzy begins.>DLC happens, Gep collects Romeo and Kills Lea for Ergo. Romeo is made into the complete King. Gep continues to work on Carlo puppet, until he is awoken for base. He murders Lea in that traincare probably studying her PD in the secret room in the back of the train car. Gem comes from lea, and was left in there.>Puppet Frenzy has been going on for a long time, but its never implied to have been for that long it wouldn't make any sense.>A kitten takes at least a year to age, therefore its been at least a year since the DLC and Base game. during this time the hotel would open and become a shelter as we see in the Base.>Obviously the entire complex of the alchemist facility isn't the same as the ruins we see in Base, the environment is completely different. Its more likely to be a secret elevator inaccessible after you tear the place up.Im not sure what is making this hard to understand for other people, this all makes complete sense to me

>>712979679Thread's full of retards so might as well add my own take
I haven't beaten the DLC yet, but my theory from base game was that Alidoro never had an apprentice and Parrot is just full of shit grasping at straws. I don't remember anyone other than himself talking about Alidoro having an apprentice and my personal theory is that he never even met the guy or his corpse (which is why he doesn't know about the missing finger), just started impersonating him after the real one went missing. He has to get the sword from swamp monster shack and you find Alidoro diary with his final words there, strongly implying he died in there
>>712980012Yes, because they did alot of shit to cover up Arlecchino and the puppets in the DLC are NOT frenzied, but Markiona's loophole using the Arche puppets was able to make any puppet obey the alchemist to eliminate humans and of course puppets like P.
>>712979805The only thing to extract from the plot is ergo is dead souls and can be used for reincarnation. The other "uses" of ergo are open ended and will likely be explored in later titles as a mechanism for cool game mechanics.
Just ignore how the devs botched delivering that information and move on. There's nothing of value in the drama of the lives of the citizens of Krat other than weird contradictions and bad writing.
1. The world at large has some kind of immortals in it/running it
2. Petrification disease is a problem everywhere but some places have a better handle on it than others
3. There does seem to be a cure related to the gold coin fruit
4. The dlc showing the sapling as humanlike is interesting
5. Ergo can reincarnate someone
6. Ergo can communicate across distances
7. Ergo can time travel/timeline manipulate
8. Ergo can summon "godlike" entities/some giga entity
>>712979862>Puppet Frenzy has been going on for a long time, but not that long, just a bit over a year
>>712980012Does the DLC make it look like krat is functioning normally?
Its not like a city can fall all at once, and there are the Stalkers. It was a gradual process. When we awake in the start of the game its been at least a year of complete chaos, and people are still out and about occasionally such as the guy looking for his Puppet wife. Some people are huddled in their homes, some are just hanging up in Puppet ridden opera houses. No one acts like their society is over, its just in crisis mode.
>>712979862Arlecchino kidnaps Romeo when he's still human and operates on him( cuts off his arms and puts mechanical arms on him), you can hear it in Arlecchino's Invitation message. Romeo groans in pain in the background and you can also hear Arlecchino's saws.
>>712980145Do you not consider a year a long time.
>>712980136No? What? the Alchemists cant break the covenant that's the whole point of the twist. Even in her note she says its not possible, that's why shes researching Rosura and has her own puppet designs which don't have the covenant. Reread or post her note.
>>712980169>Does the DLC make it look like krat is functioning normally? No. It doesn't really take place in the city proper
>>712980237I consider it a huge amount of time, far more than it would take for and endless army of puppets to completely destroy a city
>>712980136>the puppet frenzy already began but the puppets aren't frenzied>>712980169>When we awake in the start of the game its been at least a year of complete chaosThe primary thing that's at odds with is Hotel Krat not yet being open in the DLC but having been open long enough to have reviews and ghost stories about it before things went to shit in the city. People are not going to still be frequenting hotels and writing reviews and coming up with urban legends about ghosts when there are murderous puppets tearing up the streets.

>>712980262> far more than it would take for and endless army of puppets to completely destroy a cityLol, Lmao
the puppets after the start of the frenzy arent trying to destroy the city, they're trying to save it at least the best they can.
Basic events are
>Gep starts the Frenzy>Afterwards Romeo tries to contain the PD with the Puppets as best he can. All the dead bodies you see are people with the PD. While cruel to kill so many, its the best thing he can think of to contain the disease. This is why after you kill Romeo and the Puppets can no longer unify under him, the PD gets so bad it causes an earthquake and the entire city is completely covered in PD.
>>712980237You remembered wrongly, they didn't find Law Zero which gives Geppetto admin rights but they could easily order more puppets to break the covernent to murder frenzy who they choose.
Conflicted here
SHOULD I kill this clown?
>>712980268>but having been open long enough to have reviewsThe review of hotel krat likely comes from the Cowardly lion vendor, who in a note is confirmed to be the journalist who is the one giving reviews.
You see the Cowardly lion in Hotel Krat in the DLC.
>ghost stories about it before things went to shit in the city. That place has a lot of history, it was a castle before, and its obviously a Alchemist base. Also through the Alidoro sidequest we learn a majority of the "Ghost Stories" we learn are Alchemist gaslighting to get people to stop looking into their shit
>Miner Ghost story>Actually just a Mining puppet trying to help a Alchemist left to die by other Alchemists escape a cave they put him in>Light house ghost story>Actually it was a light house keeper who made a deal with the Alchemist, and when he accidentally found out about the "medicine" they were making was their PD exlicir they killed and buried himits likely any ghost story about the Hotel was made by the Alchs to get people not looking into their Lab downstairs.
The review was made by the Cowardly Lion who was in the hotel Krat in the DLC.
>>712979853Why do they dress the puppets up like this? What's the practical purpose?
>>712980509>Follow the will of the orderand you believe this isn't just about why the Order is able to have the Puppets we see in the Greenhouse who arent Frenzied like everyone else (no red eyes) and couldn't possibly explain the Puppet Frenzy, something we know is already going on, given the Grand Expo.
>>712980389The calamity is caused by Simon firing up the manifest god machine, not the PD. He's succing all the ergo out of Krat and Krat is just built on an in universe indian burial ground of ancient civilization(s). PD is related to being exposed to all of that ergo somehow although not well explained.
I think it would make sense if PD was somehow caused by a byproduct when you remove ergo from something. Like a chemical reaction where there is a remainder. You extract ergo and then the compound that remains is toxic and causes PD. But nothing in the game supports this head canon.
>>712980561 felt warmth from it
weird, I didn't hate the guy that much but I got a record from it so it was objectively worth it.
>>712980389>Romeo tries to contain the PD with the Puppets as best he can. All the dead bodies you see are people with the PD.Ah yes, Krat central station, the home of PD.
>>712980516Yes. You gain warmth and a record
If you want boss weapons talk to the Cowardly lion in the DLC, if he is gone you can use his bag.
If you don't have the DLC I think you fucked yourself out of boss soul gear. But iirc nothing past this point is even worth getting.
>>712980743Nah, you get Hugo npc to get boss stuff after fake Alidoro is gone.
>>712980576I agree on the hotel, nothing in Medoro guide implies it's been functioning long, just that people are looking forward to their stay. It's ambiguous, but Hotel Krat is volume 1, he publishes at least 3 more and wrote another one about alchemists that got censored and got him blacklisted. You're not publishing fucking sightseeing guides in the middle of the apocalypse
>>712980743I have the DLC but my point was that; yes, he betrayed us and stole Geppetto and is a murderer poser but I understood his desperation.
>>712980670>He doesnt knowPD is a cursed blessing from the one winged angel, a eldritch beast that got interested in humanity and wished to give it immortality. Its version of immortality was becoming stone (outside of a handful given actual immortality). Ergo is the natural form of PD, Ergo is all People, baby. the PD we see in game is an entirely Alchemist meddling to evolve and get more people immortal, which instead of turning you into stone makes you a zombie. The reason so many people turn into carcasses is because of Elxir and Alchemist meddling; they poisoned the water supply for instance. If you don't have strong will or body you become a Carcas or mutant, if you have the shit you become a champion like Victor or the Complete, if you are an extra special you become a listener like sophia. The reason puppets gain sentience is because puppets are powered by the people rocks, people rocks react to the puppets and gain back sentience over time. With enough people rock in the right circumstance you can do some magic shit, see P slowly become Carlo. It helps if the Puppet is in a situation that reminds them of their old life, or if the puppet looks like the person the Ergo is suppose to be.
Uh, I have a bad feeling about this.

>>712980856Yeah I can see that
If you're desperate for humanity and the record go for it, but you can totally make the argument that Fakedoro did what he had to do to survive
But not *really* because all Alidoro said was to knock it off and go away with the treasure stealing and profiterring. Parrots response was murder and identity theft.
Parrot betraying us for the alchemists was the nail in the coffin, even if his promise of being able to leave was completely understandable
then again knowing Alchemist, his "get away boat" would mysteriously sink not too far off the coast given the "reward" they gave Golden Snail turned him into a Carcas

That's so fucking funny and kino, i genuinely clap
>>712980935Im pretty sure everyong in Krat is infected with some form of PD, some more then others, that's why the Puppets kill so many people to stop the spread the best they can. When the puppets can no longer unify, the PD gets abysmal as Carcases awake inside the people Puppets dont kill or mutate worse from the Carcases around.
This of course is part of Geps plan to get Ergo for P
>Puppets have Ergo>P kill Puppets>P kills King, more Ergo>PD takes over Krat>PD is all ergo>P gets more fucking ergo>All this Ergo goes straight to Ps Organ, which gives Gep all the Ergo he needs to get Carlo back
>>712980935>With enough people rock in the right circumstance you can do some magic shit, see P slowly become CarloIt's so funny that Geppetto was trying to use ergo collected by Manus to turn P into Carlo for real, not realizing P was absorbing copious amounts of ergo all over the game and is now pic related already.

I'm with you on about 80% of that. Victor no, he's crutched up by juicing still. Laxasia maybe? Ergo is pretty explicitly dead souls, although that isn't all it is obviously.

Still a kino game, gotta look into getting the DLC eventually, but need to conserve monies for food and other things I like to buy.

>>712981303I'm excited for the "sequel" as it feels like it might connect P to a new world/characters. We also know that P is now immortal. At the end of the base game, we see that alchemist in the train speaking to an associate from some unknown organization, and they're clearly interested in immortals. I'm not sure if "ergo" is called something else in other worlds/realities like if Dorthy came from Oz, but maybe Oz doesn't exist in P's world/reality? You can do a lot of theory crafting and it's fun. They also mention the Arm of God, implying they know about it, but also claim that they have other pieces of this "God" because they mention "getting the arm back". There is clearly a stronger/larger organization than the Alchemists, and I also think the alchemist we see at the very end is also immortal as well. He does a convincing job pretending to be a frail/sick person though.

>>712981404Nameless Puppet is made irrelevant by Aegis.
>>712981446> His final actions make zero sense. It's just in service of a bossfight. How? the nameless puppet is made from carlos dead body. He is to blind to see P is already his son because he doesn't believe a Puppet could ever be a "real boy" in the same way we learn from P, the only thing he will accept is THE carlo, and in his delusion he thinks the nameless puppet is the only answer. We know he's *technically* right in his delusion given Nameless Puppet does become more Carlo then P in the bad ending, but Gep is too blind to see in every way that matters P is already carlo, no dead flesh required.
>>712981728Well, clearly, I didn't use the right build I guess because it was a very tough fight, or as tough as I remember it being. Aigis never felt like it did anything for me, but I probably wasn't using it right. I feel like you need a "fable build" to make use of it, and I never really focused much on fable slots and arts as 90% of them are trash, aside from certain/specific ones that you see on boss weapons.

>realize all the stalkers you fight did nothing wrong and you play as the bad guy
>>712981779I have not seen a single person play it on easy difficulties. Everyone is trying to prove they can beat the game on hardest.
>>712981812Ah, well technically you're right. She is from Kansas, but overall I was trying to imply that Oz is obviously going to be the focus and not Kansas. I don't know what theme they'll use since Puppets don't seem to work in a Wizard of Oz setting. It would probably rely more on magic, or the wicked witch taking over Oz. You just need to imagine a darker version of Wizard of Oz, I guess? More blood and torture. We know that in the land of Oz, a tinman and a scarecrow can gain sentience/life and that could play into "ergo" or their version of it.
>>712981876Nah, at least a chunk of stalkers are assholes
But this guy? He's a fucking hero. He understood everything.
>>712981876>Puppets did nothing wrong>Stalkers did nothing wrong>Carcasses are tortured zombies>All that happened is the fault of your dad who only did all this to get you Ergo that you get from killing people to get his dead son back
>>712981838Yeah, I don't see how you can tie-in Pinocchio to Wizard of Oz, even as an ally to Dorthy it feels weird like some Kingdom Hearts scenario. We know Dorthy is in Krat, but whether or not she makes contact with P and talks to him is up in the air. It does seem like she was seeking P and is aware of what transpired in Krat. She also knows about this mysterious organization and probably ergo as well. I guess it'd be fine if you could switch between Dorthy and P? or maybe just make P an NPC but hearing him talk would be weird since he's silent for the entire game.

>>712982189What did they even want again? Power? Godhood? Mind control powers?
I-I still don't understand the opera singer sisters thing? Am I retarded? So one of the sisters stole the limelight from the other sister? She stole her voice? The game makes you think that they had flipped roles even though it doesn't seem that way. The white owl stalker or whatever believes her sister is dead but she isn't it? And when you meet her at the Opera House she ends up killing herself? Because of what? Guilt? What did she do? Hurt her sister? But they're both alive, and okay?
So does the End Credit cutscene imply that Lea was actually on time and Romeo could have recovered if it wasn't for Geppeto coming in last second to kill them both
>>712982204I hate to be a dick, but I literally just finished a fresh replay and beat Laxasia on my first try. She isn't nearly as hard as I remember her being when the game first came out.
Nameless Puppet is literally the only boss that made me rage, granted I ALMOST beat him twice, got him down to like 3% HP and he killed me, so it was/is possible.

>>712980743>talk to the Cowardly lion in the DLCI'm ashamed I didn't get the reference until now.
>>712982241Red fucked up the voice of White out of I assume jealousy. Who, some said, had a better voice than Red. Not sure if white knew about Red's sabotage but she lost Red somewhere during the frenzy, and of course blamed puppets, so is now puppet hunting. Red in the meantime got tricked by Arlecchino to seek shelter in the opera house, but contracted the PD. So thats is why she died.
>>712982304Laxasia phase 1 is no problem for me but phase 2 fucks me every time.
The croc boss is just shit.
>>712982229The Alchemists controlled Krat, or believed they were its true masters. They actually wanted to "evolve" so essentially godhood; to become higher beings. You can find some literature about how Simon preached about the "metal angel" and even how the church/priest believed/worshipped the "metal angel" we don't know what the "metal angel" actually is. Simon believes it's a star that wanted to be human and became human but only in appearance. The "Arm of God" is the arm of the "metal angel" and they wanted to revive/bring back "their god" though in Simon's case he wanted to BECOME the new god and I guess rule over Krat or the world. He wanted to make a world "without lies" but I don't know exactly what/how he planned to do that.
Hell, in Simon's second phase we see this giant hand thing come down from the sky, that looks like a fucking "god hand" so it made me think maybe it was an actual god of some kind.
>>712982415Ah, makes sense. Thanks for explaining.
>>712981404this thing piped Lea in all her holes
>>712982229okay heres the low down, the best TLDR I can give
couple of centuries back a Eldritch Alien Beast would come to earth, known to us as the one winged angel. The OWA liked humans vibe and decided to give them a "gift". In a DLC note, we know the OWA had no idea of good or bad, moral or immoral, so it genuinely thought it was doing a good thing. It wanted to hive humans the gift of immortality, in the form of Ergo. People become rocks, and in some technical way live forever. Turns out, people don't like being rocks, so People of old tore the God to pieces to make Moon stones. Now, a group of people had the will and sheer aura to not become rocks from this gift but actual full on immortality. These people would found the alchemists, who worked on making PD not turn people to rock but make them actually immortal. These experiments would lead to the PD we know now, the zombies and mutations arent apart of Ergo its all alchemist shittery. The end goal is to make people immortal, but it keeps not working.
The only true immortality is through Puppets, but no one knows that.
>>712982241Red sister fucked White Sisters voice, White sister didn't know. Red Sister, by process of elimination, had the better voice and showmanship, but felt bad about it. White Sister, being a disgraced noble, becomes a Sweeper while Red Sister becomes a Star. Then the Puppet Frenzy happens, Red sister gets the PD, you kill white sister, Red sister slowly dies. I assume due to lack of communication means White Sister thinks Red sister is dead and vice versa.
>>712982274Well the past was probably different before we intervened. Arlecchino probably beat Lea and then Geppetto would have cleaned up with the nameless puppet
>>712982478Isn't it implied the god could just be aliens?
>>712982025It's being tied togather by the overarching Wish-granting Metal Angel/Paracelsus/Kabbalah plot obviously. They are not copying the fairy tales exactly, P can easily be the Tinman with the obligatory depowering for sequel sequence at the start if the next game to protect Dorothy (aka his little sister Rosaru transfered somehow ).
It really is amazing how insane Geppetto is, especially with the knowledge of the DLC as well. Almost nobody in Krat, at least in the base game, knows the true Geppetto, except Romeo but the Grand Covenant prevents him from speaking the truth and he himself admits that in the base game. When you look at the length of Geppeto's plan and how much insane shit he did to bring it to fruition...it's wild. He just casually sacrificed hundreds, probably thousands for his son.
It's even more depressing because Carlo hated Geppetto, and Geppetto was never there for Carlo anyway. Romeo and Lea were more family to Carlo than Geppetto was, and it isn't until after hell breaks loose that Geppetto decides he wants a second chance, but realizes he has to kill tons of people to make it happen, and he does not care.
>>712982679No its literally an alien. The "god" Simon and the Alchemists worship is some Alien magic. the OWA accidentally made a religion.
>>712982823So how did Carlo die?
>>712982756>P can be the tinman Damn, that's pretty clever and would work well. I wonder if the developers plan for the story is to just build a group of "fairy tale" characters to take down this cabal or whatever? And all these characters are immortal I'm assuming, like I guess Dorthy is already immortal? And clearly, she is important to this organization, or she escaped.
>>712967512Wow, not only does that look retarded because it doesn't fit the tone of every other move P does, but it did almost no damage.
>>712982889I haven't played the DLC yet so I don't know if it answers that question. I always assumed he got the PD and died from that, or maybe some accident? I doubt he was killed by puppets since Geppetto was already insane and working on his plan during the DLC, and the puppet frenzy had already started.
Carlo dying of an illness or maybe an accident would make more sense. Romeo was just a means to an end for Geppetto, but it felt like Romeo was more family to Carlo than Geppetto was, so I'm not surprised Geppetto treated him so harshly.

>>712982823>It's even more depressing because Carlo hated Geppetto, and Geppetto was never there for Carlo anyway. Its even sadder when you realize Gep only neglected him because he knows he's a sociopath. Its explained in a note in Rose estate that before he met his wife he was always like this, empty, all he had was being a good mechanic. When he met his wife his world gained light and joy, when she died he became even worse. He didn't want Carlo to lose the joy he had in Rose estate growing up so he just left him there, because he knows he is a dickhead. Then Carlo dies and Gep goes off the depend.
>>712982889Alchemists put a hit on him
we don't know exactly how, but we know it was probably Alchemists. We know he "rushed ahead" on something and Lea was too late to save him
In a note we see Carlo was invited to go into the room where the Guardian is by the Alchemists. I believe the Guardian killed Carlo or something down there did.
>>712969047>the King only wanting to save Carlo but we are too far gone to understand him so we have to kill himSuch a stupid fucking "twist." It would have worked if every single one of them did not attack P first without provocation, but since that is not what actually happens it completely undermines it.
>>712982627Eh, I'm not sold on the alchemists ever directly interacting with the deity. That seems like Paracelsus and co. paygrade. The alchemists were like archaeologists of the earlier civs interactions with the deity. Reminder that it was a huge discovery to the alchemists that puppets could become human. That seems like something the real immortals would already have known about the properties of ergo.
>>712983095Well, you gotta play a game anon that's how it is.
My reasoning is that puppets think you're a human, therefore you have PD, therefore you must die
Messengers like the Parade Guy, idk, Self Defense after you start attacking?
Look man even King of Puppets attacks you after you deny him. My best guess is that if Sophia didn't rewind time every time you "die" the puppets or Romeo would collect your body, steal your ergo, and put you in something that isn't controlled by Gep.
>>712983184> I'm not sold on the alchemists ever directly interacting with the deity. Alchemists as a whole didn't, only like 3 people ever did and their all immortals and all paygrade alchemists like Paracelsus. We know Paracelsus is an alchemist, he says as much, and in the endgame he "welcomes a brother" because P is now truly immortal after crying for Geps death. Paracelsus claims Krat was an experiment, this is probably because he shares the goal of making more immortals, which was the Alchemists' whole purpose. Paracelsus and his group started the Alchemists organization is what I'm getting at
>something bad happens
>Alchemists were behind it
every single time
>>712983270Don't multiple puppets like the furnace fuck try to talk to you? Why the fuck couldn't a single puppet communicate? Retarded plot hole. It's not like they aren't designed to talk like vegnini's butler. Talking would be something almost every puppet could do. Sigh. This shit just falls apart when you poke it slightly.
>>712983184I really wish we had gotten more information about this shadow cabal group. They seem like they already know a lot of immortality and godhood, kind of wonder if they're even humans or maybe they are gods who became humans? I wonder how strong Paracelsus is? He seems like he was just in Krat to gather information for the group anyway, but he did a good job staying out of danger and pretending to be frail.
>>712983421I don't know why the fuck a giant furnace would be made to talk, but it's fucking stupid a parade master and police officer couldn't
>>712983184>Reminder that it was a huge discovery to the alchemists that puppets could become human. That seems like something the real immortals would already have known about the properties of ergo.Eh, Higher ups know Ergo is people juice, but I don't think anyone knew Ergo inside of Puppets could make new people until Camile's Maid Puppet. Alchemists as a whole thought the answer was Ergo itself, as in people. Thats why you don't see them stuffing Ergo inside their chairs, they're always fucking with the people. It was only Geppeto and others putting Ergo into Puppets, which eventually became Sentient which revealed the actual path. P is the ultimate success of the Krat experiment.
>>712983370>Paracelsus and his group started the Alchemists organization is what I'm getting atThat seems like a massive and long undertaking that would have taken decades, but for an immortal it wouldn't matter. We had no idea how long Paracelsus has been in Krat and influencing/investigating, but I imagine it's been decades.

He's probably been in Krat and other places (Kansas) trying to make more Immortals. The Alchemist organisation in Krat was made by Paracelsus and his true immortal associates in order to do the whole Immortal experiment in Krat. I imagine for Wizard of Oz there will be another organisation of like "The Witches" doing the same thing.

>>712983714They weren't immortal. Immortality was the goal. The smart thing to do would be some kind of structured pharoahlike reincarnation industry. Make a puppet of yourself you will inhabit when you die and be immortal. But then we wouldn't have a game so I guess everyone just went full retard for no reason. Krat could have been a city of immortal puppet people until the dead people juice ran out.

What a fucked-up motherfucker, could probably give Arlecchino a run for his money. What even would have bene Geppetto's plan for Krat? Rebuild it alongside Carlo and rule as kings? Or just live in an abandoned Krat with his son? Or just travel the world for his son and leave Krat as a dead city?
>>712983860Yeah but Markiona is an Alchemist.
I don't see how that disproves anything I said.

>>712984101>Tells Carlo to stay put Kek, I can just imagine Carlo being bored and staying at the hotel surrounded by corpses or walking around a dead Krat. Imagine a guro doujin where Alechinno is torturing Lea.
How am I supposed to allocate stats. Is vigor like super duper important? Like in some souls it is, some it isn't. Same question with the other stats.
I plan on going like 30/30 Technique/Advance (or 40/40 or whatever the soft caps may be. But at least 30/30 or 25/25 early). Advance seems cool.
I played and beat the game once but that was so long ago and I basically remember nothing with stats and combat or p organs and whatnot
>>712984359Arleccino wouldn't even be interested in sex, doubt he had a penis. All he cared about was murder, and even in the base game he tells you that is all he cares about.
I guess in a fucked-up way it's kind of hot to imagine puppets raping the women of Krat during the frenzy. You see nude puppets in the base game, well they're technically nude, but they have no genitals or defining features that make them appear female/male.
>>712984359Wasn't the blue titty monster waiting for him? I'd like to see him against her instead.

I will always summon a spectre for the first Black Rabbit fight. Yes I've beat them solo. I will never not summon for it any time I play. It's annoying. The tracking and lunge on the downward swing is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in a soulslike. It's an annoying fight in an annoyingly small arena, with multiple enemies who are also very annoying. Fuck that fight, it's not fun.
>>712984486I bet most of the game with 25-30 points in my primary damage stat and then did like 30 capacity, 25 vigor, and like 15-20 stamina.
You're going to want to put points into capacity as equipment gets progressively heavier. Advanced is good for most of the game as there are only three enemy types, and each one has an element weakness. Puppets are weak to shock, carcasses are weak to fire, and humans are weak to acid. You can go basically the entire game using just three weapons, and honestly it feels like you'll rarely use acid. Fire is the main element imo, like you'll spend over half the game fighting carcasses, and the final dungeon is like 90% carcasses and 10% human enemies. You might want to start leveling up the flamberge early and also the salamander dagger.
This is only if you choose to go for an advanced build and use advanced weapons. The shock legion arm is hot trash, so don't even bother with it. The electric baton will be fine on its own. You do get some two-handed element weapons later on in the game, if you prefer two handed/greatsword type weapons.
>>712984863Just use items, it's more fun and cheesy.
>>712984517>You see nude puppets in the base game, well they're technically nude, but they have no genitals or defining features that make them appear female/male.

Also, the one you posted is a special puppet anyway. HOT PLASTIC BOOBIES!

>>712985853It's worse than that. It's the fact that after all that delay, the swing itself comes out a the speed of light in like 0.8 frames ensuring your parry will *always* comes out late if you try to react parry instead of learning the exact timing. that's just bad design.
Geppetto did nothing wrong
>Oh, my forever friend! Help me to hold your hand and dance!
>>712985609>almost the same number of voice linesI know DLC is half as long as the main game, but I really felt like he's my companion (for better or worse) in there while in the main game he only spoke right when I was on the verge of forgetting about him
>>712986091Gepedo did everything wrong
>>712985515Pretty sure the camera zooms in on Markiona ass in her intro, so fixed with DLC, but base game still had Sophia (two forms), Youngest Sibling and Belle
How does it feel knowing (you) share a thread with shitters that spent more time writing walls upon walls of text about their faggot headcanon than trying to beat bosses solo?
>>712986836We already beat all the bosses solo. That's why we are discussing the botched story.
>>712985852They just need sexo
>>712985852They gave me the best song in the whole game. They get a pass.
>>712987420>the botched story. It's better than it was before
>>712978609for me honestly, I am very done with this kind of boss design in souls games and souls likes. it has reached a point of unironically insisting upon itself.
it's like a video game industry wide arms race to see who can make the most spastic, anime bullshit happen with their bosses in the second phase so you have to waste extra time every time you want to learn a boss' moveset.
I just lowered the difficulty to be done with it.
Anything more extreme than Sekiro is overstepping the "fun zone" for me.
I'm happy that people enjoy that type of boss design, but I am also happy that the devs put in a difficulty selection for those of us who don't find too much fun in that process
>>712986836and shitters that spend more time justifying why it's completely the game's fault that forced xem to lower the difficulty
>first time experiencing Arlecchino
what the heck, he is fair.
What wishstones are actually useful. Are they worth farming for. It seems annoying even though I have to do literally nothing.
>>712985421it doesn't help that he has a really gay american voice
gemini really didn't bother me at all. he added life into the game with his dialogue
>>712986016yeah this is a trend that has already overstayed its welcome and I fear it's only getting worse for the next few years, until another trend overtakes it.
rote memorisation being sold as skill is also very indian coded
>>712972526Doesn't the game have difficulty mode for crybabies?
>>712988803They're good for speedrunning
>>712984717They were kept on a tight leash by the alchemists with the blindness cure, they literally have nothing against you and just fuck off if you help them.
>>712988803I literally have only used the HP recovery one. It's nice having a last resort if you run out of pulse cells
>>712990205You didn't beat the game.
>>712990386Goddamn devs putting items in the game to trick me into not beating it. I'll never forgive them...
>>712977257I'd say just replay in NG+, the DLC still proved to be challenging for me even on NG++ and even if you have an easy time you can always see how you fare in the max difficulty boss rematches
>>712985853It's more acceptable in LOP since you (usually) can just guard and then regain your HP. But yeah it can be a bit frustrating since the enemies in this game are so spastic and jerky
>>712978361>promised consortwas way easier for me
Fuck NG+ is so speedrunable with the gunblade and shotgun arm. Even more with the right p organ perks and amulets.
>>712985853this is mostly laxasia
also you can't make souls games hard without these type of moves, don't really know why people complain about it
it's either this, fast moves that you can't see, or enemies placed in horrible spots in the overworld
This game feels like a soulslike made specifically for faggots. Like how e33 is final fantasy for western faggots
>>712994272but elden ring was already made for faggots (like me)
I don't have the money to buy it and I tried to pirate it but it seems it was a virus and had to wipe my pc.
>>712976268But wait what about that part where Lea tells Gemini to get rid of Carlo and Romeo? It implies Gemini is "bigger".
