I have a switch 2 right next to my router and the download speed was terrible. Nintendo do seem to be aware of this, because there's a ethernet port on the dock. 4hours dropped to 15 mins on plugging that in.

This exact thing happened to me, because I was on vacation and didn't bring my Switch 1. Decided on a whim to go to the local midnight release. Transferring "virtual game cards" and making the Switch 2 the primary console requires not just physical access to the original Switch, but to physically bring the consoles close to one another to "transfer" everything. It's bonkers.

Took me 10 minutes to download it.
