Let's have a vidya' venting thread. What's on your mind about video games lately, /v/? It can be literally anything such as a certain game, a series, a company, etc. Just say whatever you want (as long as it's game-related of course).

I sometimes think about making YouTube shit thats vidya related, but I don't think I'm a good fit, my autism is too fierce. I hate a lot of conversations about gaming nowadays and at best it feels like I'd just spend most of my time being contrarian or something. Compared to what the algorithm likes which is spending 10 hours talking about a game's Wikipedia entry, plus everyone's obsession with showing their fscr on camera despite being completely unrelated, and it just makes me cringe on a way I can't properly express. It almost feels like even bringing up any opinion about anything is a waste of time. People aren't gonna listen anyway and why even listen to some random faggot like me? I understand the basic premise of just sharing opinions in general but I would've preferred old YouTube where people just made casual video responses to each other in a smaller scale like it was just some other forum. Instead you have to pretend to be more knowledgeable than you actually are I guess. How do you fags do it? Even on here its tiring as there's just too many fags obsessed with fucking sales metrics when it never used to matter before. Probably just to prove some asinine point regardless of the contents of the game. I'm probably 9ut of touch since I barely buy new vidya anymore and stay in the /vr/ side of things the majority of the time.

I dunno anons, sorry if its not too vidya related. I spend some passing time thinking about vidya a lot but I don't wanna take it seriously either. Maybe just take this as a warning to not get into vidya if you have autism. Its much better to pretend to care like most people do.

You're not alone on that one for sure, even outside of YouTube or here I often feel like casual discussion, opinions and video games being a leisurely thing people do for fun is a rarity now and if you do attempt to discuss a topic or go in more depth about a game you genuinely care about or have knowledge on it just gets little to no reaction unless it's some controversial take or is related to how much money or a rating the game will get. I mostly just stay quiet now on video game topics due to all of this and while I was speaking in general on this it definitely is way more emphasized on here and YouTube.

Yea I was trying to tie it to a topic of expressing vidya related topics in the places I personally frequent, but I agree it feels universal. I feel like its just much more reasonable to try and find "the good ones" from other places, ignore everyone else, and just have a fun small group of friends. Doing otherwise just opens the floodgates of retards from all directions who will never be on the same page. Its insane to me how many people think that just enjoying media as media, while also just doing the bare minimum like think and reflect on it is some kind of arduous or pointless task. Isnt that the point of it, to somehow apply that to your personal understanding of the world and share it?
I guess in the same vein it's not like there's much to talk about anymore anyway as more media basically tells you how to feel instead. Either way I'm glad to at least not feel alone in this small aspect, you made my night anon so thanks.
