If it is aiming to be the mod to end all mods and improve at least every aspect of the game, it should be fixing vanilla issues too and not hyperfixating on how to make the game the way it wants to be without fixing some foundational things. As a purist who dislikes them anyways on principle, I don't care either way as DMC3 has been explored enough to the point even how holy water does knockback has been explored so modded gameplay and the mods to enable them don't bother me that much.
But as a mini-rant, I continue to heavily dislike the DMC community driving itself in that direction and mostly fell off consuming community content because of how many fucking people modded gameplay starting with DMC5 and acting like the pansies from FGC from the likes of Smash and other games that aimed to get prior game mechanics in current game as the only way to achieve stylishness and not exploring the limitations given as is by the developers. This is the fundamental reason why DMC5 never got to the highs that DMC4 comboing did and although there is vanilla DMC5 gameplay people out there still, the effort to find and do cool stuff and use it pales in comparison although I will say the lesser variety of environments for DMC5 vs other games in the series also somewhat contributed to this issue.

No, it's remaster of original version that got ported to PC. Looks-wise it's exact same as PS2 versions with some textures upscaled and more fluent combat but with slightly muddled audio.
Switch version is updated version of HD Collection and is considered best by those whose first entry was 5. Non Switch version is completely fine and runs well, your only loss is going to be not being able to switch combat style but even without switching it's completely playable.

They enforce shitty DRMs, heavily hate mods, and change EULAs for worse, and along that most recently, they now even want to sell Borderlands 4 special edition without the main game in the bundle.
Diablo 2 on GOG is never happening because Activision-Blizzard only want remake to be seen and sold. Selling original would be same as shooting themself to the foot. They are never giving permissions of original game.

Anon, Baldur's Gate 3 was day 1 on GOG and so was Cyberpunk 2077. Both of those games have sold more than 10 million while most games with denuvo can't break 5 million sales. GOG is unironically proof that DRM does not matter.
