>It really felt like I underwent growth and change
While The Last of Us is one of the only other games that makes me feel that, the gameplay is thoughtless by comparison, only ever pulling you forward with the designer's leash, but in Zelda the clues are laid out for you, and you feel like YOU grew up and saw Hyrule through matured eyes, and then you saved it.
Ironically OoT has one of the best narratives in vidyas without pages and pages of text.

No it's not. It's just an annoying Amerimutt oogabooga grunting with some of the most annoying characters and "twist" imaginable.

Even bringing up that modern cancer up with a timeless classic like OoT is insulting.

Any game with walk-and-talk sections will date badly and never get timeless status. Which means many of the most popular ones of the ps3-ps4 generation games. In 30 years people will just think "wow, what a shitty use of the medium" and see the slow holding forward of the analog stick as a a weird period where games tried to ape movies and desperately get their approval instead of using the medium for its stregnths.
