It would be designed to ape GC/PS2 era mascot/shovelware 3D platformers. You find places/people with problems and "solve" it by finding beehives throughout the level and maneuvering through the environment while beeing chased by swarms of bees as up-beat and chaotic music plays.
The grand finale is an absolute gauntlet where you have to collect a dozen different bee swarms and bring them to your own lair.

I'm not sure what specifically he's referring to, but to me, Skyrim was the first big game to popularize the idea of "clean UI design." There were some before it, but Skyrim marked the mass adoption of "mostly transparent grey UI which emphasizes usability over style."

for the work of essentially one guy doing scripts, most voice work, and animation, it was very high quality. the animation was nice enough that one could imagine an actual show in the style, with lots of little flourishes to really make it pop, far above what most actual animated tv shows look like now (tweened slop). the jokes were funny, edgy but without veering into gruesome/grotesque/egregious, lolrandumb but not total cringe. he made videos about topics that people cared about (saturday morning watchmen around the release of the watchmen movie, skyrim video right after the trailer dropped, justin bieber show just as bieber was really becoming famous, etc.). he just did the right things and he did them competently.
