Everything (not just racing games) wants to be Fortnite clones. There's no style or soul in modern NFS games. Even though I like Heat, it just felt bland and off compared to games like Carbon and the Run.

I prefer MW since it's more subdue, in Underground they go all out putting neon under the cars and stuff, I find it a bit corny. But both are great, sure. There's stuff I prefer U2 too, like the handling, MW is a bit stiff.

Racing peaked with Burnout 3

I played like 30% of Midnight Club 2 and it was pretty cool but it kept crashing and I couldn't figure out how to fix it.

Only one racing game lives in my head rent free.

Racing games are only bad these days if you only liked arcade racers. Sims are actually lots of fun and have a much higher skill ceiling. I can only play daytona usa and burnout 3 so many times before I get bored.

That's fine. According to GT World or whatever, for 100% in GT3 you need to finish Arcade mode AND Time Trials, beat the default times. I understand why he doesn't want to but racing IS against the clock. It should be fun. I considered my GT3 playthrough finished once I did the formula 1 thing.
