if they were smart they'd just wait for the threads to peter out and die under their own energy already happening slowly but surely, natural progression but they have a nasty habit of waiting for threads to peter out and then openly antagonize them and galvanize them back into activity out of offense, happened to pizza tower and to final fantasy 14 for a while. some of them might be chasing the high of trying to stuff SCP secret laboratory into /vg/ knowing full well the only reason it was a longstanding community was that it was on /v/ where it could be regularly seen ensuring a regular player influx, and that making it /vg/'s problem instead would just kill it. one of the most obnoxious displays of badmin behavior i've ever seen out of 4chan, totally unnecessary and served no purpose but to salve a moderator's ego over seeing an on-topic thread too much for his own liking
